Excellent book. Quick read. Very informative with strong details. If your a history buff or just want to know some totally useless information this is the book for you.Great for Catholic School teachers who would like to give their students a little more knowledge that is outside the box.

I read this book in one sitting, it's short and packed with interesting information. Some of the information I knew and some I thought I knew. Great book for someone looking for understanding as to why Catholics do what we do.

Have purchased two so far as I need to pass it on to my Catholic friends who are enjoying it as much as I have. It'll be a permanent reference in my library.

Fascinatng. It seems so many things have their roots in the Catholic faith. Great read.

Haven't read all of it yet, but it's interesting.

This was a great read, some things seemed like reaching but all in all it was an entertaining book with some interesting information.

THIS HAS A LOT OF HISTORY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AS TO WHY THEY HAVE CERTAIN TRADITIONS. EXCELLENT READ.THE BOOK CAME WRAPED AND WAS DELIVERED IN A TIMELY MANNER.THANK YOU.

Fascinating. Provides background to so many rituals and beliefs starting with the title's question: which led me to this book. Curiosity. So much interesting information.

The book arrived promptly and I have only dipped into it. It is one of those boooks that will sit on my bookshelf for a while before it will be read in slow time. Looks interesting but as I have not finished reading it, I cannot review the contents.

Title was inaccurate in so many ways. Little support for theories. A More accurate title would be How gerat are Catholics. I didn't get 1/2 way through the book. If inaccuracies dissuade you from reading a 'factual' book, THIS BOOK WILL NOT BE FOR YOU.
