This is the second freeze-dried item I've purchased and they are delicious. As a matter of fact, you have to be very careful not to overeat! They are tasty even when they are not rehydrated and are wonderful for cooking as well.I was reading to find out how many nutrients are lost in the freeze-dried process, and apparently 97% of the nutritional value remains despite the process.It has been a couple of weeks, And although the can has been open for a while, the fruit is still "freeze-dried"... It hasn't become sticky nor has the consistency changed. This also goes for the broccoli I ordered. I also love that because of this so easy to add a couple of servings to a bowl of soup and get your servings of vegetables. It's an expensive product but if you're not eating your vegetables, it's worth it!

Yum yum yum! Very good! I buy these frequently since it’s the only fruit my kid will eat. Nice size pieces, fresh, sweet, tart. Just yum. Quite pricey, but if you’re patient, they will go on sale nearly half price. I also buy the banana slices as well. Great in cereals, oatmeal, yogurt or alone.

I have been purchasing a well known cereal for many years simply because I enjoyed the strawberries. This cereal is expensive. After purchasing the Augason freeze dried strawberries I can now purchase a basic cereal that is 1/3 the cost and add my own berries. The Augason berries are amazing! They are uniformly cut and the taste and texture is great. The plastic lid provided keeps in the freshness after opening the can. I highly recommend them and will be placing future orders.

Right off the bat, there needs to be a warning somewhere about the difficulty you might experience using this product if you don't regularly interact with long term storage foods. This is not a normal can and standard can openers will struggle with this! We have a side cutting opener, but ive read that other standard can openers will not work as well. On their website the company recommends a commercial grade can opener for this can type, which we didn't have and it didn't feel worth going out to buy one just for this product.We managed to figure it out with the initial cuts from the can opener, a hammer, and a screwdriver, but we destroyed the can and had to find new packaging.So warning: don't buy if you don't have access to a heavy duty can opener or if you're not willing to get creative with getting this sucker open.Once you're in - it's a great product. Big, flavorful slices that are high quality and a fantastic price. The per oz pricing couldn't be beat by any other company i found for sliced and freeze dried (I did find competition for diced strawberries, but you could tell the quality was lower). One thing for the packaging, i could tell they were serious about long term freshness. It's got a 30 year shelf life when unopened and with the security of the packaging, I believe it! Texture of these is great and I can't wait to throw them on everything (I won't be stingy since there are so much)!

I'm on can #5 and buying more! I'd planned on putting these in long term storage but we sample to make sure it's something we'd actually eat. So far not a single can has been saved! They're amazing in oatmeal, ice cream, and my favorite is right out of the can!! I've chopped them up and put in Jello and other desserts. We're going to have to buy several items from them in bulk to make it to storage because we've loved everything! I cook for my Mastiff dogs and have been putting the spinach in their food. Oh, the dogs even love the strawberries straight from the can!!

These are perfect. Sweet, tart, and fresh. Good right out of the can or tossed into some cereal. I have made some amazing ice cream with these, too.Seems light on weight but when i opened it i saw the can was full almost to the top. Such a wonderful powerful aroma fills the room every time i crack them open.Must-have!

Most amazing dried strawberries! I made some into sourdough loaves and just ate the rest out of the can! So many for the money! The can is huge! My favorite was a chocolate strawberry loaf! The white chocolate strawberry was a close second! Just reordered!
