This toilet eliminates the need to discard "used" toilet paper in the trash. I have used two of these toilets on my boat for the last 4 years while living on it for over 2 years. It has not clogged or failed once. The macerator does the job and prevents clumps of solids in the holding tank. Yes they are expensive but worth it. Will work on RVs
