I’ve purchased many an electric heat cap, and they’ve all broken, melted, or just deteriorated.I love the “safety” of this cap since there’s no electricity, i love how hot it gets (i microwave a little longer than the instructions), and i do think it fits well. However, it does not stay hot for more than about 20 minutes, so be prepared to have to get up to microwave it again if you’re doing a hot oil treatment.given the sturdiness of the fabric, the lack of chance for it to short circuit like similarly priced electric heat caps, i expect to have this for a while!

I had a different heat cap like this for years that I finally had to toss. I’m super happy with his replacement. Yes, you have to reheat it. This doesn’t bother me it’s like reheating any microwavable heating pad. The fabric is a synthetic that you can.wipe off easily. Great for larger heads or lots of hair. My old ones fit me just fine, but was a little tight on my daughters head who has a bigger head head than I do and thicker longer hair. This one has extra room in it and more stretch left to the band. Doesn’t run big, I think it problem just fits a wider range of heads.I wish it was filled to the band (outermost quilted squares attached to the band are empty and don’t heat up but that’s not enough to take a star away.

I like this product. It heats up well (2 30 second intervals) and it mostly stays hot for the duration. I have low porosity hair so this helps to open my cuticles to make conditioning more effective. I even used it prior to home color and I think it helped some.The band is a little uncomfortable and I now understand why other products like this came with a cotton headband to put on first. Wish this had one, too.The seeds are a little heavy so, when put on over a plastic cap, it's a little slippery. That means it kind of slips to the back of the head, which is a little annoying since most of us put our hair on top of our head. I feel like if it had been about 1/2 smaller, it would be better for those of us who are petite (I'm 5'3").But the cons aren't that big of a deal so would recommend.

I like the way this cap fits but I don’t get the heat I was hoping to get from it

In the past, I bought conditioner caps that had gel pockets inside. The pockets burst, and I had to buy a new cap. The last thing I wanted was for some of this scalding hot gel to run down and scar my scalp or face.I have been using this cap for years, and it hasn't burst yet. I have accidentally left it in the microwave too long and had to wait for it to cool down to put on my head. Still it hasn't burst. I wish I had bought this one first. I would have saved the money I wasted buying the others repeatedly.

Go for it. You won’t regret your decision.Have used multiple brands of the flax seed thermal cap. This one is my favorite.Why? It holds the heat long enough.The stitched sections allow for evenly distributed heat.The Seller got it to me on time and the product fits the description.Because my head is huge (22.5”’!) and my hair is thick and long, the cap sits up a little high but I make it work by adding a silk tie around my edges so the nice elastic band doesn’t rub the delicate hairs.If this Seller made a larger one, I’d be at the front of the line to buy because this one is so nice!

This is a great product. It works as described. I have no problem with the fact that the cap needs to be reheated a few times as it’s unrealistic to expect a natural product like this to be able to hold heat as long as an electric cap. The whole reason for using a cap like this is to avail the electric current running through the cap & therefore your head. Also, just because the cap is cool on the exterior doesn’t mean your hair isn’t still warm. When I take the cap off I need to let my hair cool down before rinsing out the deep conditioner. This tells me that the heating capability is much better than other reviewers have given credit. The only drawback of this product is that it cannot be used while traveling in a hotel. I make sure to deep condition before a trip so I don’t have to do it again until I return home. I LOVE this product.

Included in this package is a stash-away drawstring bag (which helps keep my cabinet less cluttered), a set of instructions, 10 disposable shower caps, and the thermal cap itself.I really like the fact that the flax seeds are evenly distributed throughout the cap and they are secured by the stitches woven in - which in turn distributed heat evenly around my head.One minute in the microwave was ample heat for me. Just put your hair treatment on then the disposable hair cap on top BEFORE putting on the thermal cap. It’s important to keep the thermal cap itself clean of any hair product so the next time you use it, it won’t cook in the microwave and get ruined.I also want to emphasize the band that secures the cap around your head is fantastic. It’s thick so there’s not much pressure and I was able to keep the cap on for half an hour before proceeding with the rest of my routine.It’s very easy to use, and you get to maximize the benefits that you can get from your hair treatments.Definitely going to get more disposable shower caps in the future.
