amazing!!! accidentally bought the purple SEMI-permanent version of this and the color was actually so beautiful, but then i decided to full send this and the color matching to this is perfect. i did a minial bleach on my roots bc my hair is already super damaged and the color took on very well regardless and i cant wait to see how long this last for!

Update: Best dark blue PERMANENT COLOR ON THE MARKET! I wash my hair about 3 x's a week, warm not cold water. The dye does bleed a little during wash but still vibrant. I have tried ALL PERMANENT dark blue hair dye available, this one is absolutely the best. I included a recent photo after nearly 2 months of regular shampooing. Note: did not bleach my hair first; uses 20 vol cream Ion peroxide over natural level 5 to 8 hairWife says: Perfect with 20 vol developer on UNBLEACHED natural hair! No need to bleach first of you want a subtle dark blue. My natural color ranges from grey, dark blonde, to brunette. You can see the different shades of blue on all my different natural shades, that's why there are different shades of blue. I recommend. Much better price inside the Sally's shop, but was nice to be able to order online to try it first before going to the shop TO BUY SEVERAL MORE 😆

I LIKE IT. I keep my hair super short in the summer. Use this for gray coverage. Bright, fun, but not over the top for a 60+ year old. Get compliments. Have fun. :)

Despite it saying it's ppd-free and for sensitive skin, it is NOT gentle on delicate skin, it has the strongest, most powerful chemical smell when opened and mixing it with the developer creates pure fumes, literally smells just the same as when you bleach your hair. I'm no novice to dying my hair, I've done it for years but decided I wanted a more permanent, long-lasting dye. Big mistake in choosing this brand. This was my first and LAST time using this product because I had a LITERAL SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION, despite it saying "for sensitive" this and "ppd free" that. DO NOT BUY. I'm literally on two types of medication as I type this because of this products false advertising. And YES, I read the ingredients and patch tested before use.

I usually buy my Ion Hair Dye from Sally’s but to save me a trip I decided to buy online. I particularly never used “jet black” before but I always pick in the black family so it was good enough. I specifically purchase this brand because it’s PPD free (I am allergic to PPD). Upon opening the package I was a little nervous since the tube had a different appearance from the one from Sally’s. I also read the back of the bottle and it had references to “black henna” which I found odd (or maybe never noticed on the Sally’s one idk) I hopped online to see the reviews and to my disbelief I saw some comments stating it’s really not ppd free. I was nervous. I looked up how to do a patch test - but unfortunately it takes about 24 hours and I had to dye my hair asap so I decided to do it anyways. I left it on for a 30 minutes and everything felt fine. After I washed it out I was so nervous that I might get a reaction but I am happy to report 8 hours later everything turned out fine. :)
