Works great in the garage.. I can now work on my car even if it’s 115 degrees, as long as the air is directed at you. It’s not some magic machine, but with the power of the fan, and the slight cooling temps, it makes all the difference in the world to not be drenching in sweat. Makes a miserable situation waaaay more tolerable. And this is without even trying it with ice yet, which would help more.It was expensive, but not being drained from the heat is worth it.

I purchased this cooler in June 2024. The inlet water valve that attatches to the water hose is made of plastic and after a period became stripped and would no longer attatch to the hose. I filed a claim with the manufacturer who I have yet to hear from. Ive gone to several Honeywell parts dealers none carry the part. I also tried to purchase a replacement part form Honeywell but was unsuccessful as well. Hessaire has a better constructed product by comparison. Save yourself the money and hassle and buy the Hessaire evaporative cooler.

Once we turned the unit on it was making a loud odd noise. Husband took the back off and found the fan was being held by 2 out of 4 brackets. He was able to find new bolts to tighten and stabilize the fan. Massive amounts of dirt in the reservoir and white calcium deposits throughout the inside. Didn’t think to take pictures at the time. Everything is cleaned up and put back together and works now but very disappointing to pay that kind of money for the quality we received. It is evident it’s a used item that was never cleaned or maintenanced before resell.

The unit was well made and worked well as an evaporative cooler for outside use ONLY. I planned to use it in my wood shop in my garage. Without the garage door open to the Phoenix summer heat everything in the shop was damp within minutes. Not good for cast iron. If you plan to use it outdoor on a patio for example this is a great unit.

BOUGHT THIS IN JUNE THINKING IT WOULD BE GOOD FOR FAMILY GATERINGS BECAUSE IT HAS THE HONEYWELL NAME SO I LEFT IT IN BOX UNTIL TODAY AND I HOOKED UP TO MY GARDEN HOSE STARTED IT UP NO LEAKS A HOUR LATER THE RESERVOIR FLOAT FAILED , THE BULB FILLED WITH WATER AND FLOODED MY ROOM , REACHED OUT TO HONEYWELL AND NO REPLY . ALL PLASTIC JUNK STAY AWAY FROM THIS UNIT BUILT WITH CHINA JUNK . NOW I AM OUT $500.00 AND NO RETURN . THANKS AMAZON /HONEYWORST

Looks great on our Patio and it’s amazing how many of our friends haven’t seen a compact swamp cooler like this before. I think I’ve already convinced a few friends to get one for their own backyard this summer!WFH & lockdowns mean more time to spend at home and this cooler is the answer if or WHEN it gets really hot!Just like another review said and the instruction, first use should be to let it run and get thru a number of cycles for an initial odor to pass thru - the system. It's super easy to set up, use, and move around!Also - for sure, no more worries about mosquitoes ( our state bird :\ ) this summer in Minnesota when this is moving air!!
