Great for deadlifts!
This was my first ever purchase of gym chalk. I've been hearing about the greatness of gym chalk for a while but never decided to purchase it until a few months ago. I have been consistently lifting weights going on 9 years now, so I like to think of as my self as a seasoned vet. 90% of my gym days are heavy lifting days (big boy shit haha) I deadlift using the 10-8-6-4 scheme. For a couple of weeks I stopped going so heavy because my hands get EXTREMELY sweaty when I lift so the bar always ends up slipping out of my hand, even when I use my trick of wrapping paper towels around the bar to get a better grip. I didn't see the need to keep trying to go heavy if I couldn't get the weight all the way up. So, my order of this chalk came in on Tuesday, which was perfect because Wednesday is back day and back day = deadlifting day. Long story short, I finally got to go heavy again on the deadlift and at the end of my 10-8-6-4 (265lbs, 285lbs, 305lbs, 325lbs) sets I went for an extra 5th set and hit a new max of 365lbs. With this chalk I'll be doing 405lbs in no time!!The only thing I was initially concerned about was when I first opened the chalk I noticed it wasn't finely broken up/ powered. It had a lot of clumped up pieces inside so I thought I had gotten a bad order. I recommend this chalk to anyone who wants to improve their deadlift weight/max. Also , the price you pay for this amount of chalk is unbeatable!

Good home gym chalk
I'm an intermediate lifter and used this in my home gym to take the moisture off my hands as I sweat. I live in Tennessee and humidity makes bar grip a problem and this solved that. I like the bag it's in because I can just grab it and give it a few squeezes with each hand and not get chalk all over my floor. I used to use a brick but those crumble and are messy. 100% recommend

Very pleased with this product
I've never used chalk before, so I had no idea what I was missing. I like the extra traction it gives me when gripping the bar. After applying chalk, I've found I can get two to three sets in before feeling like I need to chalk up again.I was drawn to this product because it comes in a pouch, so I figured that would mean less mess than a bar of chalk. Since I've never used chalk before, I can't really speak to that. I can tell you that it's a bit messier than I was anticipating, but crazily enough I just happened to have a small bucket in my gym (I have a home gym) so I keep the pouch in the bucket and always hold my hands inside the bucket when chalking up. The nice thing about this is that the bucket catches the "crumbs" and I expect I'll be able to recycle all of that chalk at a later point - a much better option than letting it all go to waste on the floor!

Works just as described
Chalk is chalk. Powder works when Im at the gym. Seems to give me some grip.

useful for what you pay for
Okay i was a bit scared at first but i did be careful with what i used during and after or even before i out it on because if you had lotion or hand sanitizer it would give you the brutal blisters and we all know they’re e ugly and painful. but i rinse my hands before use and after of course. i then afterwards like after washing my hands with soap i then use my hand sanitizer and i’m fine. another good thing is it doesn’t stain your clothes if you just wipe your hands on your pants, after a wash it removes without any smell. (i’ve heard things it leaves your clothes stained or smelly) BUT I APPROVE IT DOESNT !

Legitimately Workable
This chalk bags has a fine grit. Cuts down on the amount of dust LOST to the AIR; and in your mouth. In comparison to open powder that’s loose.Materials I use it on areSiliconeMetalLeatherCanvasPlasticCementThick SilkI am an aerialist and teaching myself ballet and I am looking forward to continuing incorporating this into my pets physical routines.Including esoteric gymnastic floor routines.

Fair.
Decent chalk, grip is good. Bag could have slightly tighter pores, as the chalk is released a little bit too readily, and yet, somehow does not coat as well as I would expect for how easily it releases.

A great chalk option for weightlifting!
I enjoy using this chalk ball as a slightly more compact, 'cleaner' means of carrying around chalk in the gym. The material of the ball itself is soft, so it is comfortable when rubbing my hands against it to chalk up (as opposed to rubbing against a jagged chalk block). The ball lasted for quite a long time and seemed to have a nearly endless supply of chalk inside before having to refill. My only recommendation would be to create a slightly larger bag so that both hands can fit inside, and so you have a bit of room when wiping the excess residue off your hands and back into the bag (otherwise, it can still be a bit messy at times). Overall, it's a great alternative to a chalk block (or even liquid or powder chalk) and I highly recommend!
