Essential Medical Supply Foam Replacement Handle for Offset Cane, Black

It's a standard foam cane handle. Little coarse feeling, but it should work fine. Well set in place after installation. It won't be slipping any time soon without mechanical intervention. It needs to come with install instructions. I finally just wetted the inside of the foam and the cane to lubricate it. It's foam and I just didn't want to have to deal with any potential chemical interactions, so I went with as non-reactive a lubricant as I had available. Still, it took a while and was a problem for my arthritic hands, though not for my dogged determination. The color looks fine and the price is competitive. -- lpilcher

After 2 years of constant use my cane handle was completely toast. This was very nice and was relatively easy to replace. USE DISHSOAP to help get it on.

The last pair I ordered were glued sections of purple and black. The glue let loose and the came apart by sections, These do not have sections and are all one piece so I hope they will last longer then the last pair.

These work well on my husband's quad canes.

I've had a couple of different cane handles, and I liked this one best. It's thicker and has more cushion than the thinner, grey ones that come with the standard issue hospital canes. Those tend to wear out by compressing. These are thicker, more comfortable, and are pretty durable, but they tend to split when they wear out. I was able to slip it on in a few seconds with the hand sanitizer trick people mentioned here. (Thanks!) I'll definitely buy again.

Easy to install w/a little soapy water. Use a slight amount to work the grip onto your cane, the water/soap will dry in a short time. These grips are good quality and we are a repeat buyer.

I bought two of these foam cane handles. Unfortunately, I ruined the first one. Here's the mistake I made: I tried to slide on the handle by using just water and it got stuck half way on. I had to cut it off. My second installation was successful. Here's a tip: Pour some Dawn dish washing liquid on a wet paper towel and slide it over the metal portion of the cane handle. This also wasn't slippery enough, so I put on a little bit of full strength Dawn. Then, the cane handle slid on like a charm. I did let the cane handle dry for 2 days. Now...it's perfect!
