Tuna Flavor Dental Treat For Cats, 2.1 Oz/59G

I have one very spoiled picky Persian. He is very let’s say discerning of what treats he eats. Well I saw these and thought he likes tuna let’s give them a try. Usually when he tries a new treat or food, he’ll eat is as soon as it is opened; then if you try to give it again he wants no part of it. Needless to say his food looks like a pet food store and I have one cat. Not with these. He sits snd waits for me to give them to him.

I don't know what makes these "dental" treats versus other cat treats. My cats found the taste acceptable, but they didn't like the size much. They are much larger than most other treats (i.e. Temptations), and harder as well. Maybe the hardness makes them more of a dental treat, but I was afraid they might crack a tooth on them. Plus, they are a good bit more expensive than other treats, so I will probably stick with the Temptations that they love (my daughter calls Temptations "kitty crack").

The cats were clearly excited by the smell of these treats and they tried REALLY hard to eat them, but in the end the treats were too hard for them to chew. I'm just glad the little one didn't break her teeth. Guess I'll be looking for another brand.

Our cat really likes and her breath is nice so I feel these are doing the job. Will continue to buy on subscribe and save account.
