Rogue Hoe 7" Hoe/Rake with 40" Curved Hickory Handle

This is the best to ever. It's heavier than a rake and hoe and works harder than a hoe and take.

This thing is the best all around tool for working around my acreage doing landscaping changes. It cuts right thru small sucker trees, removes sod, loosens compacted soil & rock. But I’m having an issue finding a replacement handle. Not the fault of tool. I had it in the back of my Mule and didn’t have it all the way in. When I backed into the shed the handle was sticking out and hit the door frame of my shed as I backed in.

This thing can slice, pry, rake, and tamp better than USFS tools. I've pulled rocks with this that a mattock couldn't budge, you can sharpen it in the field with a heavy bastard file.

This is an interesting take on the USFS McCleod tool... I can't say that it's mis-advertised as the handle length is right in the title, but save your back and get a version that has the longer handle or you'll be hunched over while using this thing. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. This design falls flat. There's a reason the USFS has a spec. Also - this one arrived with grinder burrs on the teeth. I had to file them off.

I had this hoe for about a month and was using it to build some mountain bike trails. The handle seemed a little flimsy getting small stumps out. Sure enough, I was trying to get a small sapling stump out of the ground. I didn't even put that much pressure on it and it snapped. Emailed the company and have yet to hear back. An expensive hoe to have it break on ya.Update- the company wrote back and is sending me a new rake. Changed from a 1 star to a 4 based on responsiveness.
