Perfect for migraines
I canβt believe it took me so long to research lighting to help with my 24/7 migraine. Wow, before buying these I hated to turn on a lamp, now I find it soothing and helpful if my tablet screen is an issue. After buying one of these I got one for my other bedside lamp, as well as clear ones for the ceiling fan and the three bulbs for my bathroom. My headache definitely prefers the amber color but I like the clear if checking out clothes and makeup. They arenβt cheep but LEDs last years so worth it if you have headache issues and especially photosensitive migraines.

Matches my Edison Bulbs
I got this to see if it was able to replace my incandescent edison bulbs, but last longer and use less energy. The color matches what i want it to match. It has the right appearance, both in the light it produces, and even in how the bulb looks. I will use these to replace my edisons as they burn out.

Cozy, yellow, old-timey
We have a built-in booth in the kitchen with a copper colored 3 bulb fixture above it. I thought these would be a good choice to give that area a cozy feel. There are still windows on both sides so we get plenty of natural light during the day but use the light fixture at night. These bulbs put out light that is quite yellow, moreso than typical incandescent bulbs or what you think of as "warm white". If that's what you're wanting, you'll be pleased and if not you may be grossed out. Think "grandma's kitchen in the 1970s" or "tiny hole in the wall Italian place". There's nothing bad about it, it's just a preference, style, or look, and either you want that or you don't. They're not super bright but aren't supposed to be. These are mood lighting, entirely about ambiance. If you have one socket it may not do the trick but if you have a few it should light up an area sufficiently. I will say color rendering is ridiculous. I've had some laundry or construction paper at the table and had to leave the area with it to understand what color it truly is. I can still identify my food but maybe don't use these in your art studio.Having said that, the bulbs are glass and have nice large "filaments" that glow, adding to that vintage look. They're LED so they're still low power and perhaps more importantly, they're cool to the touch. Our nanny warned the kids not to touch them so they wouldn't burn themselves, and she was surprised when I told her they were cool and put my hand on one. They may not look exactly the same as a true filament bulb, but they're close enough and have all the LED power and long life advantages. They're round and fairly small so should fit in a large range of fixtures or lamps. Once again, these are great, but just make sure it's what you want first.
