I am always leery of "bargains" on photography backgrounds because many have such deep creasing/fold lines that it's almost impossible to get them out or the material is extremely flimsy/cheap (OR both). I needed a standard portrait backdrop last minute for some professional/adult head shots --and something I could take and easily set up outside of my studio. This one was a good moderately-priced option. I sprayed this with a small amount of water, threw in the dryer and wrinkles came out easily in a few minutes. The material is fairly thick and nice- doesn't feel cheap; photographs well. This also has the pocket at the top for sliding into a backdrop stand if needed. I actually just used clips on my stand because I had a few backdrops set up to be able to flip back & forth- that worked fine as well. The 5x7 size worked great for waist up headshots- adults were sitting. Could have had an adult standing as well- likely not wide enough for a group shot. I would buy other items from this seller.

Buy it! Not too dark, you can adjust the lighting. Love it!

Looks nothing like photo, very transparent, design/color is barely noticeable (see photos).

When shopping for backdrops, it seems the biggest risk is getting one that's too thin so it ends up being see-through. Or one that wrinkles so much your pictures looks terrible. These backdrops are awesome!! GREAT quality. Putting them in the dryer gets rid of the wrinkles. I'm so happy I got these. If I ever need to buy more backdrops, I would only get Kate's.

I’m a graphic artist, not a photographer - just FYI from my perspective. Used this for our own graduation portrait during social distancing. The color is definitely a bit lighter and more grey/taupe tones on the top - a bit different that what is shown for sale (which has a far more saturated and blue tone.) The BOTTOM has most of the color, I wish the blend started much higher as the photo shows - which I would feel would be more useful for portrait photography vs. full length. There were instructions to remove the initial folded wrinkles which we did - it still required a steamer to get those out and still I can see one, but wasn’t that concerned as I can photoshop them out, and/or just wanted ONE more “official” photo in addition to our candids to mark the occassion. But over all, the material is light, easy to work with and definitely worth the cost. I would consider more from this company, but I would check reviewers comments on colors prior to be sure.

I refinish furniture, and wanted something easily removeable where I stage in my garage (yes this is in my garage!). I ordered some velcro to go with this and it worked like a charm! Wrinkles do come out if you follow directions. It is a little transparent, so if you have next to windows or in front of make sure you black them out. Good for the money and will be ordering more!

First, I ordered blue and it arrived brown, so that’s super irritating, especially because it arrived late and now I have no time to figure anything else out. Second, I have roughly 50-60 Kate backdrops and these backdrops are my favorite, they are nice! This backdrop is NOT the normal Kate quality! It must be some cheap knock-off!! I am going to keep it because I don’t have the time to hassle with a return right now, but I am not happy at all!

These backdrops are awesome!! GREAT quality. Putting them in the dryer gets rid of the wrinkles. I'm so happy I got these. If I ever need to buy more backdrops, I would only get Kate's.

I wasn't too sure what to expect from this backdrop. It's the first one I've ever bought. I got it for a school grad class shoot. It arrived folded and wrapped in plastic. When i opened it up, it was all creased. I checked the instructions and put it in the washing machine , dried it on delicate, and ironed it. It came out looking great. The loop at the top to run your crossbar through is great. No having to deal with clamps. The backdrop is thick and heavy enough to hang smooth. Im very pleased and will buy move kinds for sure.

This pattern/material looks pretty good for a standard portrait backdrop. But in my experience, I had some difficulties with the material being very prone to wrinkles, and I also find the lighter colour of this particularly backdrop just doesn't look quite as good for most portraits. The wrinkles are more visible in some shots than they are in others. I think for the price, it's decent value and would work fairly well for any beginner/amateur/intermediate photographer.

I got this for self tapes and the light blue-grey colour does NOT make my skin pop.I have a medium complexion and I was very much expecting this to be more like advertised.In the comparison pictures, it looks like I was sent the "old" version even though that's not what I ordered.I've hung it upside down so that the darker bottom is at the top and that's definitely been an improvement, because there's a richer and deeper blue closer to my face.Be warned, if this is for tapes, when standing, the grey white tone are what will be your backdrop. The fold line wrinkles are a pain too!
