This unit works and is the smallest I have seen
I bought this unit because it could use my NAS to save recorded shows. I was very small and did not have wireless connectiong to my network, Not a big deal because my antenna is located were my internet is. Apparently My spouse had a difficult time getting used to the menu and trying to look at a guide.. We have alot of amazon fire stuff in our home and was used to that interface but not the one from HD. Did not like the fact that you mostly control it with your Phone app. just wanted to use the remote. It worked really well and was so easy to setup we just couldn't get past the channel interface so we sent it back after trying for a few days. Let us know if you ever get a good interface to amazon fire stick, Etc...

As a DVR it does the job
I mostly bought this so I could DVR OTA TV shows. I don't watch much live TV or OTA for that matter but I wanted to DVR a few shows and football. I haven't been able to record or watch games yet.The user I/F on Android TV is adequate at best. It's clunky to move around the screens and when you're watching a recorded show trying to get to the extra features is a challenge. I read that CC is on by defualt and one day it showed up and I didn't want it. Their website said you must disable it globally in Android but I could find no option to do that. No worries, the next day the CC was gone again. If I do want it I have no idea how to turn it on but for now we're good.It came with one year of the 14 day program guide, not that they tell you this. I also don't see a way to create an account as a new user unless I purchase the guide service which I don't need to buy for one year. Very odd. The guide is rather lame as you need to choose the channel you want to search and then scroll through the hour-by-hour time slots for each channel. Takes forever to find something but when you do recording is simple. Just choose the show and hit record. The recordings look great and are easy to access once you get used to the clunky I/F. I leave my home screen on recordings as it's easier to start there and move to live TV is you want to. It's a snap to delete watched shows too.I thought I'd use Plex to improve all of this but Plex can not record to this device. In my opinion it made Plex a waste of money. It took me days to figure this out as neither Plex or HDHomeRun have tech support that is ANY good. You're left to search message boards and ask the users there questions and hope for answers. In my opinion this is a failure on any companies part. Users should not be left hanging when they need help with your product. I almost returned it because of this.Watching live TV works great. The picture quality is excellent and navigating through the channels is easy enough.Mostly I bought this so I could cancel YouTube TV and it has done the job I expected it to. I considered Tivo and Amazon Fire TV Recast. Recast had horrible user reviews or I would have bought it for sure. Tivo is expensive and you have to buy the guide service for way too much money. The HD guide is only $35/yr. It is a pretty good product that I hope they keep improving. I believe it will do what I bought it for and do it well.

works great! Easy to setup.
Out of the box, connect the antenna, plug it in, and its off and working. It's that simple.I installed the hdhomerun app on my roku TV's and it came right up to a list of all the local channels I expected to see along with program guides for the channels on upcoming shows. I then installed on my roku streaming stick and had a picture but no sound. On my samsung TV I changed teh roku audio settings to Dolby Digital, and then the sound started working. On my projector, no sound. Turns out that if you are using an HDMI roku, the device it plugs into needs to support AC3/DolbyDigital over HDMI which my projector does not. I will end up passing the HDMI through an HDMI to HDMI/Audio extractor to solve that problem. Overall I am thrilled with this streaming device and how easy it is to use.

Junk
Tuner are junk. My TV did a better job with channels than this thing. Sound was constantly off. Very clunky in how it works. 100% dissatisfied to the point I returned it. Moving on to something better.

Easy setup, doesn't work well with Roku
I Replaced a Channel Master Stream+ with this (I really tried to like the Channel Master, had it for a couple of years but it just wasn't reliable and was limited to 1 TV).Setup was easy, 50+ channels before a scan, then 68 after - No more or less than any other TV in the house. I tried it with a Roku Stick, and iPhone and a Windows 10 computer. You can view live TV and recordings on all but can't set up the DVR to record on Roku; you can on the phone app. There are quirks to the apps - most of which are stated in other reviews. The biggest issued I had using it were delayed sound and pixelation during DVR playback with Roku. While watching playback on a phone, the sound was off and a reboot of the Homerun box fixed that but it was the first show that I had recorded to playback...not a good sign. The second was with the screen pixelating during playback through the Roku. Every 5 - 7 seconds the screen would go fuzzy rendering it unwatchable, incredibly annoying. This issue wan't my network or the Roku, it was the Homerun. I really wanted to like this but I'm deploying it in a house with non-technical people so it has to be easy and it has to work. I ended up returning it for a T a b l o.

Easy setup and very capable
We got tired of paying almost $300 per month of cords coming into our home. We snipped the cable and landline, then installed a $35 antenna in the attic. We now have 63 channels of FREE TV available on any TV, iPad, iPhone, or computer in the house. It's pretty amazing. Quality is excellent, virtually matching cable. We're experimenting with some IPTV options to supplement the OTA broadcast channels, but we have most of what we cared about via this device. Very satisfied.

Decent option for cord-cutters
Decent product for adding hi-def local (OTA) channels to round out your cord cutting needs. Sadly it doesn't connect to Samsung TVs so I added a Firestick to get the channel guide (can't cast from a phone). On a TV, navigation is kinda clunky, but it's doable. Recording lacks some of the options I had gotten used to with TiVo, but it works.

Easy setup
Extremely easy to set up! Just plug in and go. Was looking for a way to record basic cable and this works well. Easy to set up recordings and play back. Nice that hard drive is built in. No need for an additional computer for storage. Another step to cut the cord.
