If you want a modern take on something that looks like it could have been found in the early days of electricity then this is definitely that. The price you pay for what you get will depend on your point of view and how “NEW” you expect your new item light to actually be as there are some quality control issues. **If you would like some install quick tips, skip to the bottom of this review**You can see in one of my pictures where there was some damage to the hardware and they attempted to conceal it with not quite matching paint. This would have been a deal breaker for us if not for the fact that the design of this ultimately means those spots won’t get light and thus won’t be seen but if you get a LOT of natural light then stuff like this is quite unacceptable.The instructions are brief and I felt VERY lacking and didn’t address the unique hardware they selected for every connection point, which is crucial for safe install and can make things a lot easier if done differently than explained. Also there is a configuration that they don’t include as an option but from my pictures you will see how I “modernized” the light further by removing the chain entirely and mounting directly to the plate (which has an added advantage of no exposed wiring).**I HIGHLY recommend a quick square, some thread locker, wooden mallet (hammer with block works too) and a flat head screw driver.-My bottom level of the light was severely askew and considerably out of square and would have looked horrendous if not corrected. I lessened some of the hardware, aligned panel and tightened back up which fixed the askew issues, then wooden mallet and quicks square to set bottom and was golden.-The threaded hardware it includes can be easy to not have enough threading on side as it will shift as you tighten each piece. What I did to correct it is hand loosened each pieces to barely threaded, applied some thread lock and then used the supplied hardware endcaps to tighten from there so I could ensure that all pieces had adequate thread. (It wouldn’t be fun to have something fall from on high).-If you like the way I installed it, just take the threading inserts out of two hook pieces and you can thread directly to the top of the fixture. Just be sure to not have too much of the threading sticking out or the main panel piece won’t be able to sit flush to ceiling.**Final thoughts: We love the look and with some led Edison bulbs it really completes the room for us. I’d have liked it if all pieces arrived undamaged or at least better repaired but we can live with it as price was low enough.

This light fixture replaced an outdated and atrocious fixture that was above our pool table when we bought our house. After a basement flood, we redid everything with a floor that looks like barn wood. We were looking for something rustic and reasonably priced. This was perfect. It does take a bit of time to install. As my husband and I are not the least bit mechanical, we got about 3/4 complete and called my brother for backup. I would advise to read the instructions all the way through and lay everything out before screwing anything together for the sake of your sanity. One note, this does not come with lightbulbs, so make sure to order some to go along with this. Overall this is a beautiful fixture that would be easy to install for the experienced do it yourselfer.

Perfect light for the price! We have an angled ceiling so that was a little more difficult to get it level but it went up easily otherwise!

We love this light and it put the finishing touches that we were looking for in our rustic kitchen. The price was great! The hardest part was the chain links. Not that easy to remove and then close.

This item has huge gauges in it. The shipping box was not damaged however the product is.

We ordered a different one at first. It just wasn't us. Then we ordered this one and it was easy to install and it was just what we wanted. We are very happy with our choice.
