I was looking for a mat that was specifically rated to go on the floor of the oven so I didn't have to cannibalize the bottom rack - and this is. I was surprised at how thin the material is, but since it's just there to keep the oven clean and not to support anything, this shouldn't matter in the long run. I heated up the oven empty to over 400° for 30 minutes before I used it for the first time, just in case it produced a smoke or odor, but I didn't notice either upon opening the oven. I have had the mat for several weeks now and so far it is performing as advertised. It fits the bottom of my oven perfectly, is easy to wipe up and looks as new as the day I installed it. For the price, I couldn't be more satisfied.

Have had one of these for years. Replaced one after about 7 years. If you bake a lot you might have to replace sooner, This is a great idea and product. Just have a new oven and ordered this one for it, too. Catches all the spills and wipes clean quickly.

I have an oven that is stained on the bottom and this hides it well. It is also easily removable for wiping down and cleaning the oven and helps catch those pie and casserole bubble overs.

Yep, me too - this stuff would violate the Geneva convention if used on the battlefield. Is that what's bothering you Bunkie? Well, here's the solution - SR-71 Blackbird wing covering? No; its a thin sheet of slick black non-stick fabric material (seems to be composed of impervium). Unrolls to slide under the lower oven element and is held in place by the feet on the element. Buy this and focus on more important problems, like saving the polar bears... Update 9/18/14. Still satisfied, but I noticed that it has curled-up so that it has touched the side of the lower oven heating element and has a burned area that has gone white. No harm that I can tell. I tried turning it over but it was curled even closer to the element. Just an FYI.

Well haven't had to really give it a good cleaning yet and have not had any smells as some of the other commenters. It saves so much time for extra cleaning. I can just wipe down the oven door and sides when needed. I can shake any of the drippings from this liner into the garbage when need be. Be sure to remove if you have a self cleaning oven and actually start the process. Otherwise it will burn to a crisp if you use that feature while the liner is in there!

Don't even remember how long I've had this now but it has been washed up repeatedly, is still in the oven ready to get washed again as my Thanksgiving apple pie cooked over. Keeps the oven clean and is way easier to clean than the whole oven. Absolute must to have for folks who do much cooking and baking.

I got tired of making pies, etc and some of it spilling onto the bottom of my oven and smoking up the entire house...so...I researched and found this and it is litterally one of the best inventions ever!!!! If something spills on it, no biggie!! Just allow it to cool and then pull out the liner and sometimes whatever it is that cooked on it will just pop right off into the sink or the garbage! Or flake and fall right off!! Makes life a lot easier, especially because oven cleaner makes me deathly sick!!

Has helped keep the bottom of the oven clean and fits perfectly. It catches any drippings and overflows during baking and roasting. however, the material has an odd odor when cooking. Hasn't affected the food, but I would not buy it again.

Modifico la precedente recensione perché ho verificato che all'inizio funziona bene come rivestimento. Non si deforma ed è facile da pulire con un panno. Dopo qualche mese però si brucia completamente. Praticamente perde la sua patina e non resiste più. Inoltre è molto leggero, non adatto a forni che hanno una ventilazione posta in alto (se lo risucchia). Il prezzo varia. Per quello che l'ho pagato io, circa 2€, potrebbe andar bene cambiarlo ogni tot mesi, a seconda dell'intensità di utilizzo. A 5€ o addirittura 10€, no!!

Sehr schnelle Lieferung und kam ordentlich gesendet.Ich habe meinen Backofen richtig geschruppt jetzt sieht er wieder aus wie neu und zum Schutz habe ich die Matte unten reingelegt auf den Boden,passt super.Ich nehm sie dann raus und kann sie ganz einfach ausschütteln und abwischen.
