One of the best controllers I ever purchased
As a Sonic fan, and as a Nintendo Switch fan and owner, this is a wonderful item to have. I have been playing with this controller for a long time now and it plays really well and the design is so cool. It also has a small cable for you to recharge it with so you won't need to pay more money for extra batteries. I would love to have a Mega Man variant of this controller since both Sonic and Mega Man have their own variants of the Hori split pad pro, and it would be an excellent way to celebrate the Blue Bomber's 35th Anniversary. Heck I would be really thrilled if Hori made a wired variant of this controller with a much longer cable. Not only would that make a good backup in case something happens to this controller I have, but wired controllers also have the advantage of less input lag and being at a much more affordable price. But in conclusion, this controller is really a good item for your Nintendo Switch or Sonic the Hedgehog collection. If you are a fan of Sonic and have the opportunity to get this, go for it because it's worth it.

Good build quality controller
Pros: Good buttons, responsive, USB-C charging, wireless, comfortable and light.Cons: no vibration, buttons require a little bit more force to press (can be pro or con depending on your style).Verdict: it's a good controller, a bit expensive for the lack of vibration but not everyone likes their controller to rumble. I've been playing Luigi's Mansion 3 and the gyros work great. Otherwise I think it's pretty identical to Hori's other wireless controllers, except this one has USB-C charging. It is pretty light which means you won't get fatigued as easily. I'm sure that's thanks to the lack of rumble.

Great pad
I have used the pad for over 350 hours of play so far, and it shows no negative signs of performance. It is responsive and there isn't any lag time. The pad also grips wells and is comfortable. It seems to hold charge well. I haven't counted how often I charge it, but I don't charge it that often. It also looks really cool.

*A Must Know for BUYERS*
I’ll be as simple and brief as possible, but also to illustrate some points and facts of this review.Key points to know of me as a buyer of this product: I come from avid gaming family, myself being an hardcore gamer in my ‘realm’. I play multiple game titles, genres, and have vast growing libraries of games both physical and digital, tho the latter i try avoid having and/or doing lol. I’m also partially deaf, which illustrate the need for something I'm writing this review about. As a gamer, with some physical limitations- I was disappointed to find this controller did NOT, i repeat, NOT COME WITH ANY VIBRATION features at all. I have bought, owned, and played games since i was a wee lad and it has always, ALWAYS came with everything i could need or want. Topic in general, the controllers. I don't buy unofficial sets, almost never if i can’t say never. Having always bought controllers straight from the companies themselves, or officially licensed ones like Hori Controller here, I always had no gripes. Til now.The Hori controller, overall in design: The decal and color palette is wonderful. I love it and couldn’t ask for a better design though im sure many more will come someday. But. But it is pretty bulky, i dont hate it as i am an adult but i can imagine little kids trying to have a decent grip on this and failing or struggling. So design wise, its a nice paint job/layouts but bulky a bit. What floored me, is the absence of vibrational features. Almost every console controllers, even 3rd party ones, had them but the official ones is ALWAYS. With prices this is at, there are other controllers that DOES have this and still retain its decent prices and even style/layouts. The vibrational feature is a must have, and to not have it should have been clearly and explicitly marked saying so. The absence of this, also should have brought the pricing to around $20-$30. This is a product that was neatly done, but cheaply made in order to profit large. ($10 really, that you can make it. In turn, a $30 price tag for a product that isnt whole, is NOT a good deal.) With that final point, you’re better off buying the official Nintendo controllers, as they’d have it for sure.

HORI Controllers Always Amazing! 😊👍🏽
I love these controllers. Bought two of them (in store) sometime after I first bought the switch. They worked beautifully. Bought another so all (my son wife and myself) could play. I’m currently deployed and there are a many of players out here playing smash bros, so I found the company via Amazon and just received it. Played a few games and it once again, works flawlessly.I’ve had no drift in any of the controllers I’ve bought. Their response time is perfect & they’re light weight. You could say they feel cheap, sure, but they work flawlessly.Great product! 😁👍🏽

Large sized but high quality
This controller is great but the size is a little bigger than I would like. The button spacing is good but the "horns" are very large diameter. I have medium/large hands and do farm work so take that for what it's worth. Wouldn't buy it for a kid or someone with smaller hands.

Controller does not work
controller broke within 7 1/2 mos. The red gear button is difficult to move & sticks off to one side.I have contacted Hori. Sent pic & file of borken controller & have not recieved any response. Sent issue to Asurion (2 yr. protection plan) Their response was contact the manufacture it should be under warranty there. So where do I go from here?

syncs right up to your switch in seconds
i charged it to full out of the box before using it. Great battery life. Good buttons. Bought this because i grew tired right away to have to keep taking the joy-cons on and off the controller hub that comes with system and the system itself. This allows you to keep your switch docked and game with a nice one piece controller that runs well with snes, nes classics on online subscription or the switch games themselves. charger can plug right into the side of the switch dock.
