Great, Affordable Everyday Carry!
I bought the orange pocket knife in a Midwestern Menards a few years ago. It opens packages, mail, and helps me with small daily tasks. The green knife is a new purchas yet my old (orange) one is nearly as sharp (without sharpening) and exactly as mechanically solid years later! Very good price for an American made Buck 112 knife!! Extremely light yet durable for everyday carry!

Great value blade! Hit far better than expected!
Sharp and smooth out of the box! Great edge, quality steel and solid lock! Perfect blade thickness, and shaved my arm hair out the box! Easy to open, with a smooth axis. The green color is rich and looks great. It's the perfect functional tool knife for deep carry, in any situation. Didn't break the bank, but with a lifetime warranty and solid build quality like Buck, you know it won't let you down when it's time to use it !

The best value in EDC?
So, I sent my main EDC, which cost 5x more than this one, to its manufacturer to take advantage of their lifetime sharpening service. A make and model that every lover of lightweight EDC pocket knives would know. Honestly, I was never really happy with its sharpness out of the box. So, I purchased this one to carry for the weeks it would be away, and to be my backup in the future. Well, this one will now be my go-to EDC. Sharper out of the box, with a more solid and balanced feel in the hand. And if I lose it, I don’t have to wait for my birthday or plan for it in the family budget in order to replace it. I can’t believe that in this day and age you can still obtain a knife of this quality for this price. I can’t recommend this tool enough. This was my second Buck knife purchase. I’ve already made my third. And as long as they make this level of quality, it will be my only brand.

It’s a Buck
I had a Buck 112 in the past. My opinion is they’re too heavy in the pocket, but too small with its 3” blade to justify taking up belt space. Mine always ended up stuffed in my pack. This is not that knife, being much thinner and lighter. It is a joy to carry clipped to my pocket, being of a solid, traditional style that doesn’t scare the lemmings. It’s not the fastest to deploy, and the handle/blade ratio is still that of a 112. However, it is also a US-made knife I can carry in a semi-permissive environment, and trust to do bigger knife jobs.

Quality control
Can be a decent knife but quality control is all over the place from buck. I bought off of amazon and directly fe buck and had several duds…

Great budget USA-made knife!
I really like this knife, I wanted a USA-made everyday carry knife that wasn't too pricey and this fit the bill perfectly! The size and ergonomics of this are very good. The thinner nylon scales plus their signature shape make it easy to grip comfortably and securely. This knife carries extremely well in the pocket, I LOVE that they gave it a deep-carry clip (and a solid one, not a wire clip), plus it's reversible for all you lefties! It's easy for me to open one handed, but people with small hands who have tried it have a little trouble. To close, because of the lockback design I usually turn the knife around in my hand, push the lock, and fold the blade against my thigh to close it (or use both hands). I don't mind it, but it's not as "fidgetable" as a liner/frame-lock knife. The factory edge was sharp but not super evenly ground or smooth, so good but not exceptional imo. I really do like the blade design and material, it's thin and takes and holds an edge very well. I use it regularly to cut packaging and break down cardboard boxes and it doesn't dull quickly.Build quality is also good, keeping in mind the price point and the fact that it's made in USA. The blade lock is very secure, they perfected the lockback a long time ago. I notice a little lateral blade movement when it's open but not enough to be concerned about, and it's tighter than some pricier import knives I've had or held. The riveted construction could be seen as a potential issue, but not imo - Buck has been riveting knives forever and they do last. I have a Buck 55 I've abused, and my dad has a 110 that's way older than me (I'm 33). You just won't be able to swap scales or make adjustments.I really like the look of this knife, and everyone who's seen it likes it. The classic design in the slimmer profile with nylon scales looks really good, I do think they should make more colors though. I love this knife so much my dad's getting one in orange for Christmas!
