HIGH QUALITY, 5 STARS, VERY IMPRESSIVE CRAFTMANSHIP
I just delivered this item to a good friend of mine. She has Greek ancestors in her family, she is Greek descendant. She remembers her grandma, making Greek coffee, in one similar to this one...She almost began to cry, because of so many memories with her "nana", drinking Greek coffee. The hand hammered copper is very beautiful !, It is so impressive, so beautiful, so well made. The rivets are very strong and high quality. The polish on the copper is very glossy...There must have been so many hours of labor , to create a piece like this, this is really a work of art. Thank your for shipping this item to me, It was for her birthday gift, when she opened it, she was speechless ! It took her 1 minute to speak again.I will never forget, what a lasting memory, you helped me create for her, as she opened her package from Greece. I told her, to even keep the postage, and frame it on the wall, to show the Greek postage stamps. I will be purchasing another one for me, from you very soon. I want mine to be identical to hers. We both love coffee, and I am anxious to try authentic, Greek coffee. Thank you so much for your product, I highly recommend your company, and your products, to everyone...5 STARS, on the Product, 5 STARS on your company.LUIS R.

wake up and smell this...
this turned out to be a really great briki / ibrik, for about 8 bucks and free shipping you really cant beat it.the material appears to be real copper. i filed a small edge just to see, and the colour remained true, rather than revealing a different metal underneath. the inside is lined with tin, so i use a small wooden teaspoon to stir the coffee rather than metal. i also dissolve the sugar by swirling the briki rather than stirring it so prevent scratching the tinplate. the tinning is a bit sloppily done, but seems like it will work just fine.a note : THIS IS FOR SMALL DEMITASSE SIZED CUPS OF GREEK / TURKISH COFFEE. . please be clear about this before ordering to avoid disappointment. if you are ordering this to make big cups of american style coffee, dont bother. it is too small for that. think kids tea party sized cups.the handle could get hot if the pot is in the wrong position on the stove so be aware of how you place it. keep the handle as far to the outside of the heating area as possible. it gets warm , but not hot enough to be uncomfortable.some have mentioned that the rivets leak which i have not experienced. i would like to clarify however that the rivets are placed quite high , and if you have that much water in the pot its way overfilled for making greek coffee. all that should be reaching that level on the pot is the foam when it rises, and its thick enough that it shouldnt dribble out unless the rivets are majorly loose.the size is listed as 4.5 oz. but i filled mine to the very tip top and it holds about 8 oz of water. so the 4.5 seems to refer to how much coffee you can comfortably brew in the pot, rather than overall volume it holds. i have the stainless steel ikea demitasse cups which hold about 2 oz each, and this pot is perfect for brewing one or two of those at a time.the pot is somewhat thin walled, so i did knock off 1 star for that. its not flimsy, but its just not a battle tank. there is a slight bit of give, sort of like a thick food can. should hold up for a really long time, but doesnt feel like it will be an heirloom.just a heads up: on arrival, there was a funny smell coming from it and bits of black residue scattered around the inside and outside. it appeared to be traces of polishing compound that had not been cleaned off well. after a few hot soapy washings with a sponge it was pretty much fine. i also made two batches of boiling water in it (and dumped them out) before using it to make coffee. the smell is completely gone now.so anyways there you have it. awesome briki, great price, and no real complaints. enjoy!

Foams really well once you get the hang of it.
This one makes a 4 ounce cup. Foams easy too once you get the hang of it. The key is to use at least a tsp. of sugar to one heaping teaspoon of coffee. Use a medium heat even on an electric stove (what I have) and don't let it boil. Pull it back if the big bubbles startm and then put it back on a little less. Takes all of a minute.Good solid metal. The handle hasn't loosened yet and I don't think it ever will, unless it is thrown around. I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher. I think the metal would corrode. It takes about 15 seconds to wash by hand so don't do it anyway. A little soap swished around with your finger, and its clean!

CHEAP
Cheap and light as an aluminum can and spray painted. The finish is either not there or flaking off on the inside. The rivets holding the handled are uneven and flimsy. I'm not sure what people got who gave 5 star reviews but I would definitely not drink anything boiled in this as I'm not sure what the metal or finish is that's coming off. I own two larger and both well made and copper and this is not that. Just painted tin and upon closer inspection I think it was made from a coffee can.

The thing started leaking in a bout a week after I got it. The handle gets hot. The reasons I didn't return it is that I forgot to do it timely and that it's hard to find 4-ounces Turkish coffee pots.

It works
I bought this not really expecting much, and so my low expectations were successfully met. I was not however, given any surprises that would indicate the value of this ibrik. The pot is only large enough for one cup, which doesn't bother me as I usually only make one cup at a time. The one drawback to this pot is due to the pot metal handle, whose vents designed to help cool the handle down are sealed due to its cheap mold casting and apparent lack of quality control, when you place this pot directly over a gas burner, the handle is becomes almost as hot as the pot. This can be fixed if you just move the pot so that it's off center from the gas stove. I think that this ibrik will get the job done fine, but if I were to buy a ibrik again I would pay the extra five dollars for a nicer pot with a wood handle

Good Turkish coffee pot
Just a note to people complaining about the size: this is for making Turkish coffee, of which a cup is roughly the size of an espresso. Therefore I think it's unfair to complain that it doesn't fit an 8 oz cup of coffee. Try drinking 8 ozs of Turkish coffee some time without getting palpitations. Also, try fitting 8 ozs into 4.5 ozs...Anyhow, it was exactly was I was looking for, and so far has worn well, feels sturdy, and looks nice to boot. I haven't quite matched the coffee I got in Istanbul, but this is a good start.
