A great help!
In this guide, the author delves into the topic of the supply network. The introduction is thought-provoking and will give readers a feel of what will be highlighted and entailed throughout the entire book which is not only interesting but useful too. He places a lot of emphasis on managing store locations and the sources of supply which we all know is the first big step to understanding business and will aid to continuing to build higher profits. The reference and links mentioned in the book are a big asset and many will find themselves feverishly taking notes in the margin.

Review of 'Setting up the Supply Network in APO'
This is a useful book for anyone wanting to understand/implement SAP APO SNP. The author is an independent consultant so gives pragmatic views on how to set up and use the system, including tips on what works well, and what may not work so well. As such, it is a very useful book to have alongside any standard 'help' documentation. There is good coverage of some of the important APO master data, especially locations and transport lanes, and also of some of the functionality which is perhaps not exploited in some implementations - examples are use of MRP areas for GATP, and modelling supplier capacities.
