This can be put on a chimney rod and brush with electric tape, needs a pen light attached though or spot light at bottom of chimney. Be careful, if you pull the cam apart, you can put it back together, you'll see the ribbon there's tape around it, I cut a small piece of cardboard the size of the camera sleeve and super glued it after closing the ribbon, applied some super glue at the base of the sleeve, works again. It will help you inspect your clay or steel liner. Recommends.

This endoscope is really cool. You get 30 feet of line all attached to an HD camera on the end with built in lights. i used it on my bathroom sink which seemed to have a clock about 10 feet down. with the camera i could see a ball of hair and rust had collected(its an old house that we decided to fix up).I put the hook attachment on the end with the little tiny threads that have been machined into it and viola - i now have a hook in which to grab a hold of stuff and pull it out.i should definitely make a clear distinction here about this tool though.i would caution anyone who is reading this that i would label this as an exploritory tool and not a tool for the function of removing the problem inside your pipes. Can you pull something out using the included hook? Yeah sure - if you have the right angle and the patience for it. But i would recommend using a plumbers snake that it designed to clean out that junk.the battery life on this thing is amazing! its been more than 1 month & i still haven't charged it and its still turning on, showing VERY bright lighting and a nice picture.The unit allows you to save your images via the SD card slot on the bottom. it also comes with a little charge cord fr recharging the unit. Among other accessories is a mirror that can look around corners and some other kind of hook thing.anywawy - its a cool tool. for the price point - to simply SEE what's going on down inside the places you can't get to, you can't beat it(at least i haven't yet).

I was hesitant to purchase this, but so much better than I had anticipated. Excellent camera and picture. Did exactly what I had hoped for.

Original Review (2 Stars, April 2021):If the screen backlight didn’t break after a few months of use, it would have gotten more stars. As it worked well for four months as it was used in several drains, up a chimney, and along some joists and studs, I gave it an extra star over the standard 1-stat review you’d expect for an expensive, short-lived product.Update (July 2021):After failing to get the company to respond via their website, I left the above review in April. Three months later, they reached out to me in attempt to rectify the situation. They offered a refund or full replacement without requiring me to return the broken product. As this was far more than I had hoped - I have updated the review to reflect their eventual responsiveness. Just be patient! Plus reviews seem to be more effective than emails.

For use behind interior and outside wall to check heating duct system. This item worked for me and I was able to find the problem that needed to be repaired. Item was very helpful. Very handy for future needed household investigations that need repair inside places that only this camera could reach.

I searched for the Best Endoscope on the market and time and again this model would come up. I would like to be able to unhook the camera lead and display isn't all that great but for the money it's a pretty decent unit. Just got it and once it finishes charging I'll put it to work.

This device does what is suppose to do. The long wire gets your places where you never thought you can reach! Instead of ripping off my drywall, I can send this little guy to look inside the pipes and wires!Cons:1-The wire is hard to control sometimes when it is too deep in. Not easy to maneuver it. I take it that is a common problem for all these kinds of devices!2- The screen has a cheap feel to it, and if you are looking at the wrong angle you will see a "ghost" picture, however, if you adjust the screen in your hand, the image quality improves dramatically.Pros:1- lightweight and waterproof2- bright screen courtesy of the LED lights in the front camera.3- long-lasting battery4- Long focal distance (this is what you are looking for if you are trying to ID small details)5- the ability to take videos and share them with a pro if you can't leave the house or accept guest during this lockdown!Overall it is a good device and the job is done.

This product is advertised with a use-case of investigating sewer (or other pipes). When I tried using this to inspect my sewer line the camera lens cracked on the second attempt.The camera/screen quality was OK. It didn't look like 720p to me, but perhaps the camera is capable of HD but the monitor is not. Perhaps it was limited by looking in a pipe.The focal range is quite poor. This is advertised as having a very broad focal range, 2"-198" (or something similar). The problem with this is that the camera autofocuses. There is no way to control the focal range using the monitor, so one is out of luck when looking into long, narrow openings such as pipes and wall cavities. Every time you advance the camera the focal point changes and you have to "play" with the cord to try to refocus.33ft cord length is not useful. The endoscope, by itself, is impossible to advance past a 45 degree pipe bend (at least in 4" pipe). I read another review that mentioned a similar problem and the seller advised to fasten the scope to a line snake or fish tape. I did this and got the line to advance to about 12', but that was when the lens shattered. For anyone still considering this endoscope, I would suggest a version with a shorter length, around 16'. Anything longer than that seems unusable and trying to manage 33' of cord while holding the monitor is agonizing.On the order of returns: my return was handled by Amazon. The process was very easy, quick. I returned the item within a week of purchase (it broke within 24 hours). I got a refund to my credit card account within a few days.

If you are fortunate enough to remember VHS, close your eyes, picture yourself holding that 40lb camcorder on your shoulder, and zooming in on an object. What sweet fuzz your eyes were presented with. Is that Uncle Gerry or a banana?1080p, it is not.The flexible wire that is the camera is very flimsy. After about 3 feet, there is no controlling it.Magnet is quite weak.I can't imagine this camera being much better than one that's half the price.***UPDATE***I was contacted by the seller to inform me that they have taken my complaint seriously and they’ve switched their manufacturer to improve the product!All because of my 1 star review! Really pleased with this camera. It was perfect for my needs. The rigidity of the cable was key as I was able to navigate corners within the ducting and find the blockage. I looked at hiring something similar and it was not affordable.

soon as the camera is in the water, the whole image become just a big blurred white blank. it is not suitable for usage under water, but they advertised it can do so even in the drain pipe or sewer line. which is not adequate.surely it can be used in air, but the image quality is nothing like HD.Fake product description.Amazon please take action against it.

I bought it mainly for garage usage, it does and it helps a lot. works absolutely amazing, and you can reach with its camera nearly everywhere to find the potential damage. It’s a pretty straightforward process of usage, nothing complicated, a good battery life and not less important, image quality, it is what you need. This endoscope it’s priceless considering how much can reduce your diagnostic times.

I tried to use this to see down into a blocked drain, unfortunately it wasn't really good enough for that task, however I am still happy with the purchase and used it under some flooring to help route some cctv cables which it did very well. So still a useful addition to the toolkit.
