Lovely Message & Illustrations
I loved the old fashioned 70's style illustrations & the message of the book. It gives you a visual opportunity to discuss race and disabilities with your child. I change some of the words as I read this to my daughter because it is written in a more American tone that sounds a bit strange in an English accent. A lovely book to start the conversation about race & treating people with kindness with young children.

Lovely way to introduce differences
I have seen some reviews that are critical of the illustrations. I find them to be sweet and a bit nostalgic. I did not have any issues with printing or paper quality. To be perfectly honest the message is more important to me. The book is a perfect introduction to observing and acknowledging differences between us all, whether that be our colour of skin or mode of transportation (walking, wheelchair, crutches etc) and my 2.5 year old twins love it. A great way to get the conversation rolling to be followed up with something a bit more substantial as they grow.

Wonderful book, easy read with adorable illustrations!
My 3 year old daughter adores this book, I have dark skin and black hair where as she is light skinned and blonde hair, it’s a perfect book for her little brain. We love the illustration too! Highly recommend

Interesting book shame about quality
Book was water damaged but still readable. Wouldn't have rated it as very good condition.

Great book!
This product came within a few days. Very lovely book to read to my reception class at work. It opened up discussions about acceptance and tolerance as I have a few children who have additional needs. Now the children in my class go around saying “it’s okay to be different” it’s helped create a safe and happy ethos in my class for ALL the children. I love it!

Helps talk about difference.
I like the book it covers some things like using stairs or a wheelchair ramp. Could do a bit more with eyes and hair rather than light and dark skin.4 Year old loved it. Good purchase.

Amazing book
Very nice book, this should be given to kids for free in every library and schools . Easy to read, my 2 year old loves listening to it and she loves the pictures too.

Low quality
This book cost a bit more than some other paperback books I ordered for our daughter to expose her to culturally reflective ideas. However, while the story line is good, the quality is like a free pamphlet one would get at a community center. In short, I do not think I would have purchased it if I knew this beforehand given the other selection of books out there, which I have found come in better quality.
