Disappointing, seemed rushed and as if the author didn't really want to write a special!
I have loved reading the series of Geek Girl books and so I thought I'd really enjoy this story but I was left disappointed. Sunny Side Up is about Harriet's trip to Paris for fashion week, she thinks she knows exactly what to do but it turns out maybe she doesn't.I didn't really like this book at all, the story and great characters were there but it all seemed very rushed and as if the author was forced to write a special rather than wanting to. Even down to the picture of sunglasses between every chapter and the chapters with not even a sentence of writing on said rushed to me!The story itself didn't seem to really go anywhere, I can see that Harriet might have made mistakes but one after another for the whole duration of the book is disappointing. She didn't even seem to learn any real life lessons from all of these mistakes, all she did was spend the whole book trying to avoid someone who never really even turned up in the book!I didn't particularly enjoy the extra chapter at the end either. Having the chapter from Nick's perspective of when he met Harriet is a fun idea but it doesn't seem to have any relevance to the book I've just read. I am really disappointed with this book, I know it's only a special but I'd have expected better. I hope the final book of the series will be a more satisfactory read.
