Don't waste your money on the knock off versions
The Oregon blade in the picture has about 20 hours on it. The other blade had less than an hour.I use these blades for clearing heavy brush around my property on a Stihl FS131. This is by far my favorite blade for taking down walls of brambles and other thorn bushes. It also makes easy work of saplings and small trees. I know you're not supposed to use it on small trees, but this blade will take down soft wood trees that are 4-6 inches thick with several good whacks.Since I beat on these pretty good, they do eventually bend and warp, especially if they get wedged into a hidden stump or something like that. The tips of the edges will bend out a little, and eventually, it will get too bent to be useful or get so unbalanced that it vibrates too much. However, that usually takes many days of abuse to get to that point with the Oregon blade. To save some money (since the price of these seem to range from $30-$45 depending on the day), I thought I'd try a knock off version which had all of the same specs (but was 3 ounces lighter). Well, I got less than an hour out of the cheap blade before it bent in a way I've never even seen before.Anyway, I can tell you from experience that the metal on the Oregon blades is better than the knock off versions and worth the extra cost. You can feel a difference in the weight, even if they are the exact same size otherwise. The Oregon is heavier and much stronger metal. On a side note, the Oregon 3 blade mulcher is pretty good, too, but it's really heavy. If you are "sweeping the ground" all day, and you have your harness setup right, it's great. However, if you're going to be lifting the head up over and over, chopping at bushes, it get's really heavy, really quickly. So you're better off with this two blade setup in my opinion.

This Thing is the Bomb
I saw a YouTuber using this blade in England, and it looked good. I maintain a trail on our 12 acre property and we get lots of brush, including thorns and hawthorn, growing into the trail. I purchased this blade to tackle the growth. It took a while to get to the US from England, but it's the real deal. I used it today and it performed great. I installed on my Echo combo cutter. It won't go on the string trimmer attachment, but does install on the blade attachment. My arms are tired from lifting the blade so much (you want to start at the top of the brush and work down. And you can also mulch the brush on the ground after it's been cut. Definitely get this if you want to tackle out of control brush. As I said, it's the bomb!

Brush Eraser
Sharpened it up after opening and using on a 35cc Honda trimmer. Eats through brush big time and just deletes it. Thick honeysuckle and briars on the fence rows don’t stand a chance anymore. Best used starting at the top of the brush then slowly mashing down like a stamp. Seems to be a tough blade even after knicking bar wire and t posts a few times. Does not cut through saplings unless they’re really small, will need to swap to a brush blade for that

Highly recommend for brush cutting
Out of all the blades I've owned for my Stihl brush cutter I highly recommend you have this in your tool box as an attachment. As long as you operate in the described manner of moving it up and down and not side to side it will chop up anything. Just be careful as I broken my head on my stihl most likely due to me hitting a rock. Apologize for not having before pictures, but before this clearing job the brush was about 6 to 7 feet high. I also was able to chop up small trees but again before careful as it may crack you stihl head.

The best upgrade for your bush whacker
I got a new Stihl weedwhacker designed to use the blades, and the blade that came with it would cut through the weeds easily enough, but then I had to stop and move the weeds, pick it up start it and go again. With this blade it deletes everything in its way. Start at the top and work your way down and the weed is turned to mulch. So much faster and easier to use than the standard blade. Highly recommended if you have a lot of weeds to get through.

Great product, but if you are seriously mulching will only last a month
Love the product, but it wears out quickly… I ordered the three prong next time.

This is the one!
Die hard Stihl user. Ive used every blade they make for the FS. I’ve used the super slow sawblade, the brush knives, the poly blades. I own every one Stihl makes. This Oregon blade is what you need for berry bushes and heavy brush. It mulches it up on top of it. This is by far the best thing I have ever used. I wish I had found it 20 years ago.Trust a guy who is wasted his money on every possible blade this is the one you want..I do not recommend using this on a loop handle FS. You need the bicycle handle bar style. You install this the same way, with the same hardware needed for the brush knives or saw blades.

Crushes Blackberries!
You need a higher powered unit to run the blade effectively (I used a Stihl Kombi 131r) and it chews up blackberries and small brush without a thought. The mulching action saves on dump runs too. Fantastic product.

Brombeeren erfolgreich vernichtet
