Great, inexpensive considering what it does. This is the second one we purchased but the first one lasted several years. Converts salt as it should for a 10 person hot tub. Just remove it from the hot tub while using and pop it back in when done. You do need a nearby power source. It’s basically plug and play.

We bought this product a couple of years ago and just had to buy the replacement part. This works great on our small hot tub I just wish it lasted a little bit longer without wearing out.

This little guy has been a life saver! We use our hot tub every day, 365 days a year (unless out of town!) and until we converted to saltwater, it was a constant battle to keep the water clear, clean and smelling fresh. I purchased this system in July of 2019 and will never go back to mineral sanitization or chlorine again. Only complaint is the first electrode that came with the system only lasted 7 months. I drug my feet not wanting to spend the money for a new one or file a defective complaint and used good ole' chlorine for a few months-what a mistake! Water was always cloudy, stinky and my skin was dry and tight after getting out. Finally I bit the bullet and ordered the new electrode-I'll never delay again! Saltwater is the ONLY way to go! You won't regret it and even if I have to buy a new electrode every year I will to avoid the nasty water and the pain the butt using chlorine.

The original cell far outlasted the expected life .My first cell lasted more than two years, It has saved me a lot of money on chemicals and is easy to set up and maintain. We have been using the Saltron system for about 3 years. I believe the other cell became corroded when it sat around unused before we purchased our new hot tub. I was very pleased that I was able to purchase this cell separately and did not have to purchase a whole new unit. It hooked right into our unit and works perfectly.

Great way to keep your hot tub clean. No more adding chemicals. Once you get your water parameters correct and add the salt, this keeps it very clean. I have been using it for five years. The most important part is to keep the pH balanced. Otherwise you will corrode your components and your cleaner will be less effective. Don't worry about switching to salt. Bromine and/or an off pH are more likely to damage your components. The low levels of salt (1/10th sea water, more like tears) won't damage your equipment, though it may void your warranty.

It maintains the spa CL level right where it belongs. However, expect to replace it about every 18 months since the catalysis reaction depends upon the film of coating on the titanium grid.
