The design of this product help me solve two unusual problems and I found support people responsive
The storage rack enabled me to South two different types of problems in my very small garage.The first problem was a minimal height available over my garage door the design of this product enabled me to reduce the height of the rack to 17 inches and gave me some clearance above my garage door.The second problem has to do with the odd locations of my ceiling joists in my garage. Instead of being standard 24 inches apart, one joist was actually off by 5 inches, and therefore 29 inches from the next joist. Because in solving the first problem of minimum heightPreviously described I had exactly 6 vertical extensions left which I was able to use to extend the width of the second storage rack to exactly 53 inches and therefore installed the product where the joists were not positioned 24 inches apart.I also had occasion to request information from the support team for this product via Amazon and found them always responsive.

Great product, great value.
Fantastic product! Easy to install even if the studs are off few inches ( that’s my situation). Very strong, I bought 8x4 3/4 thick plywood and had them cut in half at the store for easy transport. Because of my studs I came up with the final measurements of 47” x 46.5” each plywood, the height is 26” which allows me to park my Telluride with the rack and have 3” clearance as well as the fuse box can easily open. My wife was skeptical so I bet her that I will climb and lay down on that rack, (just shy of 180 pounds). It survived!!! Very solid and sturdy. Definitely worth every penny. Strongly recommend it!

Holds a TON. Great Space Saver
This shelf is STURDY. Great design. You will need a friend, you will need to measure..more than once..Check the orientation of your Garage Rafters, can make a huge difference for installation. Where we installed it was not idea and it took a few extra pieces from lowes to make it work the way it was designed. We kind of went "against the grain"per say. Worked out great. Through up a sheet of 3/8 plywood and started loading totes!

When I received the goods, I started to install them. The installation was very simple. Two people installed them in more than an hour. It was a simple splicing, but it was very easy. The sundries I put on there were not moved. I was very satisfied. I would like to buy them again later

Great product for the price, great for the mechanically inclined!
I installed this for a neighbor nearby and was ecstatic over the value. With my experience as a structural mechanic for aircraft, it was simple enough to put together. The instructions were “meh”, but looking at the parts made it easy to figure out. I installed the fasteners loosely just to ensure the 1/4” thick 4’x8’ boards would fit in nicely before tightening. I believe this kit should be installed by mechanically inclined people that knows their stuff to avoid disappointment from the lackluster supplied instructions!

This is not 4x8. It is supposed to be but it is not made as shown
cross members are 47". Not 48". A 4x8 of plywood does not fit. Instructions are awful but they cannot fix manufacturing that is wrong. The cross members are shown as 48" in the instructions but surprise!! they are not. So the whole thing goes together lopsided (took my better part of one day) then when you go to lug a 4x8 of plywood into the frame it does not fit. It is sitting there now as I write this. I have no way to fixing this and will have to return the wood once I get it down as I cannot rip a 48" length of plywood.Do not buy this. It is not what they say it is and whomever they contract the parts to cannot read measurements.

Build your own out of wood
Unboxing, everything looked good. However the instructions were not good at all. It isn't a true 4x8, having a great struggle to assemble as the holes didn't line up. Once installed went to slide the 4x8 plywood into position it wouldn't fit. Had to cut off 1 inch from the length to get it to fit. With what this cost, not including the waste of time I could have built one out of wood in less time and effort. Not happy at all, would have returned it but didn't want to spend anymore time with this. It's up, does look good, hope it holds up.

Heavy duty and easy installation... overall quality somewhat lacking.
These racks definitely do the job they were made to do. The metal is pretty thick. Mine came with some of the similar issues as others have mentioned (chipped/peeling paint, bent corners that were hard to line up, etc). A couple of the little screws stripped when tightening them with a ratchet & socket, but I was able to get it all installed and it seems pretty strong.I bought 2 planning to install them end-to-end to make a 16ft wide storage area on the back wall of my garage. I ended up only needing 1 of the racks when paired with a couple 2x4s mounted to the walls to get the whole 16ft. Actually one side is about 3.5" inches short of 8ft because my ceiling joists are weird, but since these racks are able to adjust easily, it worked out great. I also used full 8ft sheets of OSB (7/16") rather than cutting them in half like some of the pics show.These seem like a good value for the price overall. One quirky thing I noticed was that the instructions say to bolt the ceiling brackets in with 3 lag bolts (unless I read something wrong), but there were only enough to use 2 per bracket. Since my install didn't require all of the ceiling brackets, I had enough lag bolts.. but something to keep in mind.
