Food grade Silicon
I use this for home distillation. Seals any vapor leaks very well. Hardens quick but still flexible and doesn't crack

Silicone
Easy to use if you have a caulk gun. Did what I needed for the application I used it for and would use again. Happy with this item as it seems to be made of quality materials. World peace was brought nearer to achievement.

Good sealant, very strong bond
Good quality sealant, forms a very strong, waterproof bond after you let it set. Comes in a standard calk tube, make sure you use a decent calk gun, as it is more viscous than your standard calk and can bend cheaper ones that were only meant for calk.

works!
It just works! Not like the small tube (same thing but smaller) I bought previously, that leaked all over and nothing came out at the tip but the sides and the bottom, that tube was useless, but this one is great! Should have bought this in the first place. Used it and PVC primer and glue to seal the sides of the fence post jackets and end caps for my DIY hydroponics.

Sometimes does the job, but there aren’t many other options.
I purchased to replace silicone gaskets in the plastic lids for my glass bottles. I love that it is food safe after drying, but fumes when wet are pungent. It took a learning curve to be able to apply well and clean up can be messy. Once applied and smoothed, like with most caulk it will form a skin quickly so workable time is short, it will get wrinkled and grainy if you accidentally touch it then try to smooth again. On the plus side, despite the graininess, it still holds the seal when tightened. I recommend thick application - when applied thinly it held the seal, but when opening the bottle it rips apart, and sometimes it’s not easy to get all the pieces out. Thickly and smoothly applied it works well but may still need to be reapplied with each use if it comes away from the plastic. I was hoping for somewhat permanent gaskets to last for more than one opening of the bottle and instead am not looking forward to practicing my caulking skills repeatedly. I recommend longer than the 24h drying time - with some bottles the gasket pulled away from the plastic lid that it dried in for 24h and stuck to the rim of the glass bottle. In my pic you see failed gasket, possibly reusable, and reusable. If any of the gasket companies would call me back, I’d pay double to manufacture versus using this caulk but if your project is small, it’s a good and possibly the only option for food safe caulk, thus my repeat purchases. Also removing another star because the original tubes were like normal caulk tubes, I could cut my own hole at an angle the way I like. The new tubes have a detachable “nose” so I can’t choose hole size, and they are so long that a lot of caulk is wasted at the end.
