Works well for me
I filmed this with a T3i using this adapter on an amscope B100B-MS microscope. This was filmed using 3x digital zoom, 30 speed and 3200 iso.I'm quite happy with the results, I can actually see alot more detail on my computer screen then through the eyepiece with this adapter and the loss in field of view really doesnt seem so bad with my setup. It does get a bit more blurry as I move to a high power, but that seems to have alot more to do with the ability of my camera to handle low light than anything else. Update: I have recently purchased a nikon E200 Trinocular and I have produced some very nice looking images, unfortunatly I can't seem to get my new video with the E200 to properly upload to amazon but hopefully I will in the future. The adapter is fairly easy to disassemble for cleaning, though there are some spots I just cant't seem to get rid of but for the price of this thing I can't really complain. You can also adjust its focus if you slightly screw in or screw out the internal lens. The c-mount adapter works quite well with nikons tv tube with c-mount on top, I actually got it so that with the 40X objective I do not need to refocus when switching between binocular and trinocular and the other objectives only need a small fine focus adjustment. I do wish the c mount adapter came with a screw to keep the camera from rotating, with an hdmi, usb, and power adapter all coming out of my t3i I sometimes brush against one of the cords and it will slightly rotate the camera.

Imagery sent to camera very blurry - nothing can be in sharp focus
I purchased this unit but have found it technically it works but the imagery is very, very blurry. I can't get anything to be in sharp focus. When compared to what I see using the eye piece vs what the camera sees is quite different. I understand that I will not have the zoom power, but I should at least have some part of the subject in-focus. It looks like a crapy pin-hole camera - image is soft. I also realized that to produce imagery with a good depth of field I would have to stack frames in Photoshop and/or use a program like Helicon Focus to create a larger depth of field(more of the subject in focus) But I can't get anything to be really sharp with this product. I want to be able to create photos and videos that at least have a sharp picture. The scope I am using produces a nice sharp image when viewing normally through eyepieces. I plan on purchasing the - OMAX Microscope Adapter for Canon D-SLR with 2X Lens. It is the same cost and hopefully be able to capture a better image. I am using a AmScope 3.5X-180X INSPECTION TRINOCULAR STEREO ZOOM MICROSCOPE UPDATE: OMAX Microscope Adapter for Canon D-SLR with 2X Lens acts just like this adapter lens - image is fuzzy/soft. I have generated some tests using Photoshop CS6 by stacking multiple photos with the same exposure. It does produce better results but I had to use the sharpen tool a lot to add some sharpness to the image. The examples in the URL: [...] have been resized from 4500 pixels to 600 pixels. This helps hide a lot of the soft look. This lens adapter is also very slow, unless you plan on using a flash you will need to use additional lights pointed at your subject. If you plan on taking photos plan on using or purchasing Photoshop or lease it under their creative cloud option. I found that Helicon Focus will not auto align images correctly to produce a good focus image.

Does what it says.
Arrived quickly, works fine. An affordable and good way to connect a camera to a microscope.

Good Product with minor flaw
Hello! Bought this for my AmScope Microscope so take everything I say into consideration with that fact in mind. I am not doing super microscope-y things with it. Anyway, the fit and function are all great with the exception that I get a small amount of shadow on the camera that I'm using while it is hooked up. I know it isn't light oriented because the shadow will move when this is rotated. I also know it's not the camera because it doesn't happen with anything except this. I believe it is probably a hair off centered. Anyway, with that in mind, this fits my needs perfectly. I could return it to try again but I I believe that it functions fine for my purposes. As I said earlier, the Fit and function are all very good. It snaps perfectly into place on my T1i and doesn't jiggle around. Earns my recommendation with the right application

This adapter makes it easy to attach my camera to a microscope. The camera must be used with manual focus and exposure, but creates large images of very tiny subjects. The photos show the equipment in use and actual photos made with this setup. The first 2 photos show an area about 1.1 mm wide, while the mushroom gills C.S. shows an area about 1/4 mm wide. I find the image quality very good, though sharpness is limited by the microscope objective resolution. An excellent tool for scientific study and research.
