Q: Could this be used for razor strops?

Hi There! Our product is intended for use on smooth leather- not on rough out or suede. You can apply it to the smooth side of a razor strop but it should not be used on the textured flesh side of the leather. Hope this helps! :)

Q: Is this appropriate for soft kangaroo skin driving gloves?

Our balm works great on all smooth leathers. Softer, exotic leathers like kangaroo skin will be more likely to absorb topical leather conditioners like a sponge which may have a slight darkening effect. For this reason we recommend starting with a very small amount and testing on a hidden patch of the garment if possible to preview the results. Thank you!

Q: Is Smiths Leather Balm friendly to the stitching on an old knife sheath?

I think it should be. All natural ingredients. Good stuff.

Q: Will this balm help prevent fading from uv rays? i'm using veg-tan leather that has been dyed with angelus brand dyes.

Not sure that any balm offers UV protection. Smiths is an excellent, all natural product. It may darken the leather. You will find the same with most all balms. I have used Smiths on my veg tanned leathers with good results.
