Bringing an old travel trailer up to date
The media could not be loaded. Added this as part of a full system install on our Outback by LiteWay 25FB. This 20 year old trailer only had a simple clock radio with cd player and no TV or speakers so needed the full kit to make it livable for glamping.TV is a 32 inch Samsung led, speakers are surface mount 50 watt (also purchased on Amazon...review to come) along with the iRV Technologies iRV68UnboxingNice looking unit when unpacked from box. Points to thr mfg for allowing the mount screws to be hidden from sight using detachable covers. Also the harnesses are good quality and having pinouts on the unit is a plus. Instructions are garbage and is a reason for lower rating.. if you are not the figure it out type then the manual will only confuse you.InstallI had to enlist help to build a box for this unit since my camper had a under counter style radio and no room to mount this in a wall. I wanted a unit with hdmi output and optical input as well as wanted to fill the gap left by the old radio. This fit the box perfectly and once mounted looks like it came with the trailer. Using the zone feature to allow sound to be pushed back to the master bed area while kiddos are sleeping.FunctionalityAll functions are working EXCEPT for HDMI out. Not sure if I have a bad cable or the unit itself is the issue but when I hook it up to my Samsung TV there is no audio or picture. Will try a new cable but this is a huge disappointment since the idea was to run 1 input cable to the TV to carry DVD and eventually Blu ray. Wireless streaming of music working great via Samsung S22 ultra, sound si nice and clean, and controlling via smartphone app is working nicely. Also ability to shut off zone 1 and use only zone 2 works great. Lots of additional channels to hook up in the future (subwoofer 1 and 2, zone 3, center channel, etc) so this will grow along with my rv av needs. Planning to take it out and install in the next camper when that time comes.OverallThe unit is nice for an upgrade or initial install into an older trailer. Not for the novice due to limited, confusing instruction manual. iRV website has no additional help or warranty info so gonna have to figure out myself. So far so good and worthy investment in our lil home in wheels. Posting this from the campground on Memorial Day weekend after an in trailer movie session.UpdateFigured out that to enable HDMI you have to plug in an RCA video cable, then use the on screen menu to set the output resolution to 1080. After that, it's all digital hi def video. Loving this radio!

It Fits - It works
I have a 2005 Coach House RV that originally came with a similar product with a VCR in it. When that original one went bad about 3 years ago, I did not find this or a similar product that fit the shelf it set on. So, I got a more upright style and installed it behind the TV. Not ideal but I made it work. When the surface on the new one turned into a black sticky mess, that got on my hands whenever I touched it, I ripped it out and went on a hunt for something else.I found this. It fit the hole perfectly from a size perspective. However, the original one was a shelf system and this one requires mounting, so I made some mounting brackets. The wire color on this follows industry standards, so removing the old connectors and installing the connectors for this was not a problem. The only caution is for power you MUST connect both the power and AUX power for it to work (it is 12 volt power only). It has good sound, the radio, DVD player etc all work well. The only issue I have is with the Android app. The symbol that should take my phone directly to the app did not do anything. When I tried to find the app as listed on the phone I did not find it. I found a couple of others that I thought might work, but so far no luck. This is not an issue for me as I likely would never use it. But, something others may want to be aware of if that is an important feature. Just finding a receiver/player for an RV that fit nicely in the original space is a big win for me.

No manual no knowledge
Unit is a good unit overall but the lack of information regarding how to properly use this is part of why I'm sending it back. It didn't come with a manual and I can't find any information online about the irv68 model on how to use it properly and what all the buttons on the remote do! Half of them have no purpose or won't work, menu zoom etc why is this even on the remote? Again without a manual i have no knowledge on this unit! the wiring isnt difficult but it be alot easier if each individual wire has a label. It's also alot bigger than I thought and has some weight to it, if your not replacing this unit with the older version or with 1 that has same dimensions, it will be difficult to find a place for this massive radio to mount to. The back peace is like the size of the old og ps2 but with a long face plate added 2 it. The sound quality is good and the 5.1 surround sound was ideal to why I bought this in the 1st place along with all the hdmi arc connections makes this difficult for me to return but for the reasons I mentioned earlier is why I'm returning, id recommend only if you have the space for it and if it is direct replacement for your older model and if it comes with the manual or setup quide

Not just for rvs!
I recently bought a house that had an older system with am/fm and a tape deck. The speakers in the family room and master bedroom worked fine so I just wanted to update the system with one that had a cd player and bluetooth. This one is a perfect fit for the wall cutout and I only had to connect a 15 amp adapter to have it run off house power. It works great!

Bigger than I thought, but love it
We bought this for our camper and was surprised to find it was a bit bigger than the old one. At first we weren't sure we wanted to keep it, but decided to and are glad now. It was easy to use, the functions are great and we can do everything we want to. PS4, Xbox, movies, music, radio, Netflix etc. It fit in the space we had so it was perfect.

App does not work
As noted by several reviews in app store the app will not find the device. Set up menu does not seem to work and only accessible with remote which is not very good. Unit seems ok but I bought it to be able to use app as my unit would have been in a cabinet.
