5/16" - Polished, solid, and exact fit. After reading the reviews, I will say that the critical reviews led to improvements to now being a quality product.

I did not have the right size ball the ball. My new trailer knows it works just fine.

Has a great weight rating! Great price! Ordered one day received it the next day. Quicker and easier than driving all over town.

My only criticism is the latch of a hole to install a safety clip in the shank of the ball. I applied some 3Mweather adhesive to the threads after tightening it on and that should prevent any loosening.

I ordered this hitch ball as I will be renting a trailer that has 2 5/16" coupler. I normally pull with a 2" connection and use a Curt 2" dia., 1" shaft, 12,000 lb. ball normally. I ordered this from Amazon Warehouse and was concerned about reviewers that said the threads were messed up or labelled incorrectly. I am happy to report that product I recieved (P-1B1) is showroom perfect and was shipped in a box as opposed to a mailer envelope. For this size and rated ball I couldn't be more happy and with this price it is a fantastic deal as compared to any other items I looked at online. Good job Amazon...

Its exactly what the pictures show and the seller described. A ball.It’s metal. It has a nut and a lock washer too.

What can be said about a trailer hitch ball? If you order the correct size,and they deliver the size you ordered...you are good to go.

works fine. I think the the rating on it was 10,000 or 12,000 pounds. cant remember but it is stated on top of ball and lots high enough rating for what I am using it for for sure. its surprising it has that high of a rating for a 1 inch shank
