The plates are exactly as described. The colors are in register and bright. I order one set of four to check quality. I was so pleased that I ordered another two sets.

I ordered the complete set for my wife and I. We used corelle set since the blue velvet roses came out man years ago. So I wanted something that would not break like stoneware-ceramic etc. These Portofino Dishes are fantastic and the price is wonderful. Love everything about the serving pieces also. Cannot wait to use them on our new outdoor dining area. The 11 inch plate dish held a two layer cake, that's how strong they are. Beautiful, unbreakable, mimic real china. Rated highly by Consumer Reports, which is why I chose them. Unfortuately not microwavable and recommend only the top shelf of dishwasher, which wouldn't work with large plates.

We use these as our daily dishes and they’re so pretty

Very good quality finish. Not heavy but substantial. Colors bright. I wash by hand even though I don’t use the heat dry in the dishwasher and I haven’t used them in the microwave as I’d like to keep the nice new look as long as possible. So far, I haven’t noticed any scratches from the silverware. I will be getting more in other patterns. Gives nice presentation without looking like the old fashioned melamine.
