The first thing I wish to note is that the customer service from the seller - Life Balance Products - is exceptional. They followed up to ensure that the product was delivered on time and that I was satisfied with the purchase. The pump is unique because of its modular design. It is extremely versatile and easy to handle. I have owned several pumps as a soccer referee over the years and I am fond of dual-action pumps with built-in gauges. The gauge that you receive with this pump can even be used with another stand-alone pump to create the pump-and-gauge combination. The only downside to the pump is that it doesn't allow you to deflate the ball. However, for the price and modular design, I'd say this is one of the most useful pumps that I have ever owned.

I had ordered a basketball for my grandson as a Christmas present. When I went to wrap it, the ball was very soft. I pumped air into it with an old ball pump that I had in my tool box. The ball felt OK, but I had no idea if it were at the correct pressure or not. The next day, it was soft again. I then contacted Amazon and arranged for a replacement and at the same time ordered the Dual Action Ball Pump Kit from Alakai Sports. That pump is great. When the new ball arrived I used the new pump to check the pressure and found it was low. The dual action pump took care of that with ease. This is a really great product and I highly recommend it.

The pump itself works well for a basketball. Unfortunately, I purchased this for the inline pressure gauge. I am unable to pump air threw the gauge so I have to use the pump with out the gauge and overinflate the ball. Then I have to remove the inflation pin and attach the hose to the gauge. Then I can insert the pin and loosen the gauge slowly to deflate the ball to the desired pressure. In the end I’m able to do what I want to do; but it’s more of a hassle than it should be.

At first this pump worked very well and I liked the pressure gauge feature a lot. Unfortunately it just broke after approximately 10 uses. It came apart where the gauge and the brass connection meet with the pump portion. There is no way to reconnect it so it is now just a piece of junk that is past the 30-day return period.

Out of the box it was disassembled to allow the user the option of how they wanted to use it. It can be assembled with just a needle like most small ball pumps, with the hose and needlewith the gauge and needle or with the gauge, needle and hose. I chose the latter. At first i was concerned the pump volume might be too small. As I used it the low volume became an asset. Match balls need to be within a small area of tolerance. The low volume lets you get to the desired pressure without going over.I was very surprised that every ball our team uses had lower pressure than I thought. This allows me to keep our practice balls at the right pressure level. It helps when you practice as close to game conditions as possible.

I bought it brand new and used once to fill air on my basketball. Today when I tried to topup air, the middle lever that connects meeter and pump disconnected, looks poorly assembled. It worked when I tried to connect again. But it is keep falling apart and now it is very loose. I wasn't able to topup air again on my basketball. Worst quality and never buy this product. I would give 0/5 rating.

I bought this pump to throw in my gym bag since basketballs at the "Y" are constantly under-inflated. I was a little surprised that the pump had to be assembled, but it was fast and easy to do. Initially I had a problem with the pressure gauge on the pump. After checking everything for leaks, I contacted the company. Two business days later I had a new pump--during the holiday season! It works as advertised. This makes the pump an great value (quality for the money) when one factors in the excellent service I received on an initial glitch.

The pump did not work. It would push air in when I pushed the actuator in, but would suck air out when the actuator was pulled out. It was supposed to push air into the ball with the pump actuator moving in both directions. So the balls would not inflate.I had to return it. I bought the Under Armour model in its stead. that one works great, but I wish it had the same air hose as this one.
