Perfect for my needs.
Inexpensive alternative to my old Suunto that finally died. So far works fine and is actually slimmer.

It works
Not as smooth as a Suunto or Burton clinometer, but it works. The lens isn't quite as clear either. I suspect they used some plastic where there's used glass?

This product doesn't come with directions
This product is clearly a clinometer. If you want to measure how tall a tree is or the degrees of a slope, this tool could be used for that. However, if you buy this product as advertised, wanting an altitude reading at a glance, then this product is not for you. It might be a good product, but advertising it as an altimeter is misleading.

Awesome tool
Gorgeous and sturdy housing. Smooth and accurate reading wheel. Hefty weight to the tool. I absolutely love the thing!

not accurate and hard to use
I need to manage height of the building we are building in California and bought this to help me quickly get the correct height needed by code. we need to stay below 25 feet - this tool is a nightmare - it is so hard to alight the top of the device -it is not stable at all and worst of all the angles are skewed to the manufacturer I suggest adding a laser to the sight and an option to attach a laser distance meter to the edge

A simple phone would do a better job
A simple phone would do a better job at finding an angle than this word, this has no sight to allow you to pointed to a target, my iPhone does a better job by accident at no cost.
