Having timed the reading and study of Dr. D'Ambrosio's newest addition to his growing polemical library, "Jesus, The Way, The Truth and The Life" has been another apogee of my faith in the Lenton Season of 2020. In Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Dr. Marcellino D’Ambrosio interweaves history, geography, the cultural and political backstory of key people and groups - the entire setting into which Our Lord was born - with etymology, biblical scholarship, and the insights of the church fathers, as he walks through, analyzes, and brings to life events, topics, scripture, and the life of Jesus Christ.The book is seamless, detailed, and very well written. It moves at pace that allows the reader to absorb and be enlightened, with an “ah-ha” moment at every turn. The author does so by various means, from bringing out the meaning of a single word of scripture or the detail of an event, to bringing to light meaningful connections between scripture passages, people, and/or events - never losing the reader and never boring the reader.All this makes the book exceptionally readable: easy to follow and understand for those new to the topic; thoroughly informative, enriching, enlightening, and extraordinarily satisfying for those (like me) who have enjoyed many top-notch books, Bible studies, and podcasts on the faith, discipleship, apologetics, theology, and the spiritual life. In fact, it is here Dr. D’Ambrosio shines as he subtlety and painlessly educates and uplifts the reader in each of these areas with his warm, conversational, storytelling style of presenting historical facts, scholarly analysis, and insight.All this leads to a fresh deeper understanding and appreciation of Bible passages we may have heard many times before, and the life, times, and events surrounding Jesus and those who walked with Him. His teaching, His mission, who He is, and who we are take on new meaning as the rich picture painted by the author brings the reader’s understanding of Jesus and the journey that is salvation history to a new level.Not long into this book, it was clear that this work represents a lifetime of intense and joyful, study, teaching, prayer, and contemplation by Dr. D’Ambrosio. Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life is an absolutely wonderful book. The Bible study and the video travelogue that bring the journey to life are also terrific. Whether intended or not, the beautifully presented facts lead the reader to conclusions that enlighten the mind, subtly serve to deepen faith, and draw the heart closer to Our Lord - who loved us and loved us to the end. Thank you for this gift.

This is a wonderful read and reread. Not always in agreement with the writer's conclusions, but clarity of purpose and comprehensive retelling appeal to the seeker and bible scholar both. Making an easy to follow bible study, first few chapters the best. I only read the book, but the video of the country where Jesus walked would be good to see. Recommend this for those who are in need of a more personal relationship with Jesus or anyone seeking a deeper insight into his life and purpose. I especially appreciated his understanding of each gospel writer's intent and style and why they differed yet all were good.

One of the best book out there on the life of Christ. The historical perspective is eye opening. Contact the publisher to get the companion video series and workbook. It’s worth the purchase.

I would give this recommendation because this works for me. Fast in the Bible first then your eyes will open clearer and a little wider. Man it's a page turner.

I did the study series this book goes with. Both this book and the study series are amazing. Both are full of information to help you grow closer to Jesus by learning more about Him.
