These are pretty well-made. I think my only real complaint is ...
I was surprised to see such a large stepper for so cheap, so I decided to buy one and see how well it was put together.Well, I've since bought two more, and I plan on using them in a CNC router/milling machine. These are pretty well-made. I think my only real complaint is that the shaft is a D-shaft and not a keyed shaft, but I suppose it probably won't matter in the end. Can't wait to get the machine running. I did test the motor, and while I don't have a way to verify the torque rating, it seems relatively accurate. Given the price, I don't think I'd mind if it only really did 75% of the "rated" torque.

Great Motor.
Bought these for my first CNC build.Motors work great without issue.Once I received them, a quick web search of the model/part number gave me a data sheet, which gave me everything I needed to hook them up.If you are a newb like me, keep in mind the 4.2a current rating.A cheap $7 driver wont cut it. These bad boys need big-boy drivers. When construction was complete, and testing began, cheap drivers worked fine. When cutting, the cheap drivers just couldn't keep up. Spend the money to buy good drivers to take full advantage of these motors performance.

Fairly decent
Fit and finish seems pretty decent for the price. I ran them for more than 400 hours and they're still just as good as they were out of the box.

Works great for Z drive on laser cutter
Used this to replace the AC motor on the Z access of my 900X600 laser cutter. Connected to the laser cutter Z access allows me to change the focus throughout jobs.I wanted something big enough and this one drives it without missing any steps. This motor is pretty big. About 2 to 2.5X bigger than the X and Y steppers on my cutter. I setup the stepper driver with the minimum micro-stepping to preserve as much torque as possible. A high level of micro-stepping is not needed on the Z access anyway. Driving with the stock 24V supply.Found out I could lower the current setting and it still drives fine probably due to this motors size. Also set the hold current to be 1/2 the stepping current to reduce heating of the motor while holding.VERY pleased with this motor for this application. Working like a charm for the last several months of use.

zero torque
not sure whats up with these but they have zero torque. literally if i hold the ball screw with 2 fingers i can stop it from moving. needless to say it gets out of sync very easy.. not sure ive tried everything i can think of and asked on forums.

Quality motors.
Have run these for a bit now and they work well.At 48 volts, can max out at speeds of 240 ipm before they stall.

Awesome!
Quality motor lots of torque and a great price! And did I say LOTS of torque.

Works good to replace motorized Z-axis motor, 8mm shaft uses same timing pulley.
Used to replace the motor on my motorized Z axis for Chinese 100w CO2 laser for converting to auto focus.
