Fotodiox Lens Hood Replacement for HB-32 Compatible with AF-S 18-70mm, 18-105mm VR, 18-135mm, and 18-140mm VR f/3.5-5.6G Lens

This is a great lens hood. I purchased this hood for my Nikon 18-140mm DX kit lens. (Nikon is too chintzy to have supplied this hood with the camera and lens -- bad Nikon!) Anyway, in order to not have the "dark corners" that the negative reviewers mentioned make sure that:1. The name "Fotodiox N-HB-32" is at the TOP of the lens when the hood is secured to the lens.2. On the end of the lens is a white dot. Make sure that the white dot falls somewhere between the "o" and the "x" of the word "Fotodiox".The hood should fit securely, but not too tightly onto the end of the lens. I have taken this hood on and off the lens several times and have not noticed any scratching or damage to the end of the lens. I have not had any problems with shadows in the corners of my photos because of the hood. I am quite happy with my purchase and glad that I found a Nikon alternative.

I bought this for my new Nikon 18-140mm zoom that came with my D7100 kit. I don't know why Nikon chose NOT to include a lens hood with my kit. This lens hood works good and is of acceptable quality.

Fits just fine and delivers as promised.( Unless you are trying to use the on camera flash as a fill flash in sunlight, you will get the shadow of the lens hood in the bottom of the picture)Overall great product. No need to buy the more expensive Nikon hood. As my grandpa used to say.. " a hood is a hood is a hood " hehe.

Bought this lens hood for my Nikkor 18-140mm DX lens and it works well even though it wasn't specifically designed for this lens. It was well-packed and arrived in a timely manner. I rely on FOTODIOX for many accessories and they are constantly developing new ones for major camera brands.

From what I can tell this is "as good as" OEM/Nikon - as sturdy and as thick as the Nikon ones that I have.

Lost original hood that came with the camera. This is perfect! Have used it and would def recommend! Couldn't beat the price!

Fits well, snaps firmly into place, does what it's supposed to do. Cheap as well. Yes, I'll pay more if I think I'm getting more, but when it comes to a lens hood, we're not exactly talking brain surgery.

A simple replacement hood for the one that DIDNT come with my 140mm Nikkor lens.Fits perfectly both forwards and backwards (when not in use).Does NOT get in the way of pictures.. If it does, you're probably using it wrong (yes, you can use a hood the wrong way).Small price, big value.

This lens hood is about one-third the price of the Nikon equivalent. It fits nicely and doesn't cause any vignetting with the Nikon 18-140 lens. An earlier review suggested it did vignette but that may have been an issue related to a filter rather than this lens hood.

Could be made by the original manufacturer. Fits perfectly.
