So it has a extra locking feature but doesn't it lock when fully opened already ?

Yes, it locks when fully open. You can also active the secondary lock when the knife is open to turn it into a fixed blade which means even if you try to close it with the primary lock it won't close until you release the secondary lock. So I'm essence, you can have the security of a fixed blade in a pocket knife for any demanding job you may face.

What kind of lock is the primary lock? I don't see anything in the pictures. Is the primary lock secure? Why would you really need a secondary lock?

It has a small tab you push to lock it as a secondary. What situation you would need it I have no clue, the knife is well built, there is no assist opening but it’s so smooth doesn’t take much to open. I ended up buying a larger knife from them for edc.

Looks like a very nice knife - I like everything - except for the right-side lock. Does this come with the lock reversed to the left side for thumb?

No it doesn't. Great knife, smaller but has some heft to it.
