The Suttner ST-36 Pit Boss Sludge Sucker with a 15-foot hose can remove up to 2,500 gallons per hour of liquid waste and slurry. Simply attach it to your pressure washer to vacuum water, sludge, mud, or even sewage from pits and large storage tanks at a ratio of 1:11—meaning a 4 GPM pressure washer can produce up to 44 GPM of sludge removal. Say goodbye to costly wash bay pit cleanings! Operating at 1,000–3,000 PSI, the Sludge Sucker uses a high-pressure water stream to lift sludge from the bottom of pits or tanks, then ejects it through a 1½-inch diameter, 15-foot hose into a disposal tank. The base unit attaches to the end of a pressure washer lance with a quick coupler, making it simple to reach the bottom of the pit. A 0° tip ensures powerful suction and ejection, and you can easily adapt the unit for different plumbing system flows and pressures.

Rugged water and sludge remover!!
Brilliant design. Bought this to help drain my horse stalls after a bad storm blew through. There are no moving parts. Very durable design!Don’t spend a penny on the sludge pumps…regardless of cost they are all expensive and break down. This will last for years.

Not bad
Gotta buy attachment to connect directly to wand but other then that it’s good

Good idea, but...
I understand the principles behind operation and it does work well when there are no rocks. but seems even the smallest clog it up between the orfice and discharge. If the discharge was larger it would work better but I assume most diy or homeowner size pressure washers couldn't run the larger size

Pumping height is very limited
I bought this item to suck sludge from the bottom of a 10' deep water filled pit. It did not work in this capacity because it would not lift the water/sludge high enough to discharge it at ground level. I would not expect this item to work unless you sucking out fairly shallow pits and ditches. I would estimate not deeper than 3 to 4 feet if you expect it to actually work. It works fine for shallow depths.

Turns a mess into a nightmare
You cannot use this product very easily unless you keep the length of the hose just perfectly straightened with no slack hanging down, otherwise the vacuum created by the wand attachment/waterflow isn't strong enough to counter gravity and you basically just add more water to the mess you are trying to remove. It would be great to have a longer hose, but that would make this issue so much worse. You need several people to use this effectively; one holding the pressure washer handle, and at least 2 holding the hose where it needs to be. Also, the cone clogs easily so if using outside, small twigs and rocks will slow you down a lot.
