Hello, they do not come apart. Actually it is more like a swivel or pivoting that adjusts to your liking. When fingerpicking these are firm so be aware of that. Heavy is really heavy and you may have to go light to get a light to medium feel. Stays on your thumb pretty good.

Are these regular or large size?

I would say regular size....plus the L-3 is a lighter gauge pick...I love mine!

Is this pick good for strumming?

It depends on your technique. I personally like a more flexible pick for strumming only, but the Kelly is good for finger or combo work. Recommend trying.

Are there different sizes? If so, how does one measure to find the right size before ordering?

I think one size fits all. I have ordered several and they are all good fits.
