Christian Dior Eau Sauvage Deodorant Spray for Men, 5 Ounce

Good stuff. As a long time user of Christian Dior products have nothing but good praises to say about this deodorant. Smells very closely like a real Christian Dior Eau Sauvage EDP. Love it.

Pity that Christian Dior does not create and stock shampoo, after-shave balm/lotion, hair conditioner, etc. Is anyone at CD awake or are the asleep at the console??

I liked the fresh fragrance at first for it's garden-like arrangement of notes, but I find that it doesn't work as well against sweat as does my favourite Satin Laurent deodourant spray (Kouros). I also find that it is a very inappropriate fragrance for winter, however, if you are someone to keep your shirt on all day, that may not become noticeable. Also. compared to my beloved Kouros, it lacks direction or personality. It is very vague, and a bit less demanding. Kouros demands a certain way of dressing, but the Eau Suavage is very vague, and almost falls into the trap of many deodourants. It is a broadly masculine fragrance, but doesn't say anything or invoke anything specific. Tom Ford's marvelous Oud Wood is very specific with it's imagery: a dark, moist forest, though while natural, certainly doesn't imply lumber jack, but is extremely urbane. CD's Eau Suavage could be a banker, a lumber jack, a journalist in the South of France... It is not bad, but certainly isn't right for men with a strong sense of identity.

I try not to use it daily, because it's not cheap, but it does smell like ES, so it's hard to resist.

Not as strong as I would have liked. But sometime when you like something, you take what you can get!
