The Alchemy Goods Pine is a messenger bag distilled to its essential functions. A zippered outside pocket holds your cell phone and is protected from the elements by a rain flap. Inside, there’s enough room for your commute or day trip sundries. The whole package sits in the small of your back without weighing you down. It features a durable water-resistant exterior constructed from upcycled inner tubes and a shoulder strap made from an upcycled seatbelt. The bag sports a Presta valve zipper pull, an internal slip pocket, and three pen pockets. It measures 10 inches by 4 inches by 8.5 inches.

I finally ordered
I have seen Alchemy Good products for years now. After years of drooling over their products, I took the plunge and made the order. I am so pleased. The construction is fantastic. It is versatile and sturdy. Given my cycling lifestyle, my friend think my 'purse' is hilarious. I take this as a compliment, of course :)

Durable, Plenty of Pockets, Stylish and Environmentally Friendly
I've owned this bag for about 5 months now, use it every day and it still looks brand new. The construction of the bag is great. The stitching is durable and all of the seems are reinforced. The zippers also have held up to date.The bag is on the smaller side for a messenger type bag, but the dimensions are as described. There are sufficient amount of pockets to keep me organized. I don't have a probably carrying a tablet, a note book, a paperback or two (remember printed books??), phone, and a small Bluetooth speaker daily.I really like the fact the bag is made in the USA out of mostly recycled materials, upcycled for you hipsters ;)

Great Bag! Durable and rain-proof!
This is the sturdiest bag I have ever owned! I was walking around downtown yesterday and it was POURING rain - and none of my precious items were touched by a drop of rain! LOVE it! My only thing, is I'm a bit of a girly girl, so the bag is not super cute for when I wear my cute outfits, doesn't quite match. But overall, extremely happy with this bag. I get a LOT of compliments and it fits my kindle, glasses, wallet etc.!

A very cool messenger bag, kindof like a Freitag but not
If you're a big fan of the Swiss Freitags, chances are you'll like the American Alchemys. I own an F11 Lassie and looked for a matte black version of it and came across the Goods Pine by accident. Extremely happy with the bag. Highly recommend it!

Good bag too small
I like the bag for it's design. It is really comfortable to wear but it is a bit too small. I wish I had gotten the larger one. I still have to carry a lunch bag too becasue it is so small.

i had one of these bags loved it and it was stolen
i had one of these bags loved it and it was stolen. i bought a replacement and expected it to be the same quality. unfortunately the strap clamp at the base of the strap which adjusts it pops up and open constantly. i keep resetting it, pressing it down to lock the strap and after a short while it pops open again. i figured it would break in and i've had the bag a few weeks and the problem is still there. so, the large clamp is in the open position, sticking out most of the time and i can't adjust the bag strap at all. i just tried to exchange the bag and apparently i had 14 days to do so because it's hand made. i've never heard of this short return period and now i appears i'm to be stuck with a $100 bag that is not adjustable and has a wide plastic tongue sticking out all the time. very frustrating!
