Rapesco 1599 5 Bladed Herb Scissor/Paper Shredder

These scissors work well if shredding one piece of paper at a time. Do not expect them to perform as a normal pair of scissors as you can only make one cut, according to the size of the blades which is about 10 cm. It can get jammed up if you try more than one cut. However, this works well if you first cut your A4 paper into two narrower halves, then use the scissors to cut each half of the A4 into thin strips. It is effective enough for shredding paper and I prefer these to manual shredders. Would recommend them as a handy item for shredding old bank statements, receipts, old photos etc.

I wanted something that could shred important details while at work without having to get up from my chair and walking across the office to shred a piece of paper.You can’t cut up more than about 4/5 pieces of paper at a time before it makes a mess of things. Best used to cut up about 1/2 at a time, but then at that point isn’t a shredder better? My line of work means I’m shredding smaller pieces of paper, much more manageable. Works for me, doubt it will work for others.Does it shred well? Yes, that much it does for sure. Think of this product like a mini shredder on the fly. Chop out bits of information and watch how it makes short work of it.However, paper does get stuck in the blades every time. It comes with a small plastic tool used to clean the blades, but who has time to do that every time you use it? The best way to clean it is to give a few empty snips and let the paper work itself out.

Good shredding. I use for papers only so cannot say for spices, etc.

Wanted these to shed manually the name and address bits from those flimsy plastic envelopes that things get posted in that bung up my electric shredder.Sadly no good, they cut paper but not even the thinnest of flimsy plastic, they just curl it all up without cutting it.Ah well, never mind.

Use these for card making, they are OK now I've got used to them
