Perfect angle and depth for psoas and iliacus
This should win a design award. There are increasingly more tools out there for dealing with back pain. But this one specifically targets the psoas and iliacus, which are hard to reach because they are deep in the abdomen and hip crest and require different approaches. The shape of this tool is genius. It allows you to leverage your own body weight when you lie on top of it to penetrate deep into the muscle. The round bottom rocks to either side, depending on how and where you place it. This is perfect because both the iliacus and the psoas have to be approached from an angle. The wedge has one flat edge where you can press down with a free hand to deepen the angle of the pointed tip. To massage the iliacus, orient the wedge low on your hips with the sharp edge away from your body. That way, when you press down on it, the pointed tip will roll up and outward toward the iliac crest. To massage the psoas, orient the wedge higher on your abdomen with the sharp edge toward the inside of your body. That way, when you press down on it, the pointed tip will roll up and inward toward your spine. I can’t believe how effective this simple design is! I have tossed out my entire collection of massage tools that have all paled in comparison to the wedge. I even tried the ever popular Pso-Rite that is being marketed by Joe Rogan and all his fans. That tool has two points that go straight up and make it harder to get that deep angle that is necessary for the psoas and iliacus muscles.

Thank you
I write very few reviews but had to share my experience . I have been in pain for weeks with low back, Right hip and left knee. I have been seeing a chiropractor for weeks with little relief. I remember my former chiropractor in another state would release my psoas muscle and I would not need to see him for months. I ordered this and I’m so glad I did. I used this tool twice yesterday and I am walking without pain. Yes, releasing that muscle is painful but this tool is highly effective in doing the job. I am 54, obese and I can tell you that this product works!

Really works
Really handy tool that definitely has helped my hip pain significantly. My stomach was tender for a solid week after the first time, but My body got used to it as the weeks went by. Now I’m using twice a week without noticeable soreness. It’s a really deep unique stretch, and definitely worth the money to see if it helps you

Not for the faint of heart
I’m hoping this review is one that I’ll update down the road as I get used to it.First off I’m not an athlete, I’m 60 and out of shape. I’m sick of the daily hip and back pain and my chiropractor keeps telling me that my psoas muscle is extremely tight and it’s the cause of my pain. He did recommend an $150 tool that basically does what this one should do. I was very excited to try this but it is extremely painful for me and it was quite a process for me to line up and figure out how to lay on it.This was my first try at it but I found that it’s important to get up on your forearms and slowly lower yourself on the correct area. It’s true, once you get past that initial pain you’ll suddenly feel a release. Hopefully this will get easier as I try. For whatever reason I find it harder to do on one side than the other.Another really important thing that you should do it drink a lot of water. I felt nauseated afterward. You’re releasing toxins as you release tight muscles, that’s why the chiropractor and massage therapists remind us to drink a lot of water after a session or adjustment.I’m very hopeful with this but my review is based on my first experience. It’s not the easiest to use.

Amazing!!!
This tool means business! I've been trying to find a way to release my psoas muscle for years. I've seen numerous massage therapists and had only found one who could get deep enough and apply enough pressure to do the trick, but my psoas would return to its original tightness within a few days I can't afford a massage every time I need my psoas released. This wedge really does the trick! I've only had it for a couple of days now and I've used it twice, both times with phenomenal results. I need to be careful not to overdo it, but I gotta say, when you get that release it's extremely addictive. It is not only a physical, muscular release, but can be a very emotional release as well as the psoas muscle carries a lot of stress-related tension from withdrawing inward at your core, be it from work and sitting all day, or from hunching over constantly. I seem to have a lot more tension on the right side from what I believe is related to driving for long periods and engaging certain muscles while pressing down on the gas and brakes. There was another product I considered getting called the Pso Right, but it engages both psoas muscles simultaneously which seems like it would be way too intense. This one only works one at a time, which is already very intense as is. I like that or gives you the ability to rock side to side and front to back. There are any also instructions for knee and arm extensions while using this product, which if do, be sure to breathe through it as instructed. It is very intense!I've got a whole arsenal of myofascial release tools and I've got to say that this one is definitely my new favorite! Every part of your body is connected to your core, and if your core is right, no amount of peripheral myofascial release is ever going to hold. Myofascial unwinding of the psoas is so essential and so foundational in being able to access myofascial unwinding in the rest of your body.If you are on the fence about getting this product, don't be. Go ahead and get it - you won't be sorry!

HUH? Not user-friendly!
This wedge is way too difficult to position and understand and the instruction insert gives you photos that do not show a proper angle of what you're supposed to be doing. Rocking on the psoas muscle is probablynot comfortable or useful for many people despite what is "advertised". I say this because the front of the body is fragile and, like the neck, should be treated gently. I returned it after I unsuccessfully tried to use it.
