Viana Cowgirl Veggie Steak, 7.4 Ounce

I bought this for my wife who is eating a vegan diet. While she doesn't want to return to eating meat, there are things she misses, like steak. This hits the mark! When pan-fried with some onion, it tastes very similar to a good quality cube steak or a better cut of london broil cooked well-done. It has juiciness to it and a similar mouth feel. My daughter, who has been vegan for a while does NOT like it because it tastes and feels so much like beef! Will absolutely buy again.

These steaks are so delicious. They cook up perfectly on the grill, even with a little juiciness on the inside like a real steak. I originally bought them from my local health food store but then they couldn't get on the distribution route anymore. The owner told me everyone kept asking for them, so he was really disappointed he couldn't continue to get them. So I was very happy to find them here on amazon! I'm surprised they can be shipped with no refrigeration, but, we ate them for father's day and they were just as good as when we bought them from the health food store.

Vegetarian since 1999, miss bacon and steak the most. Pleasantly surprised to find this. The texture of steak is there & flavor is fine (not fantastic but no animal suffered so that’s good). Add some mashed potatoes and green beans and I’m back to a dinner from my meat days.

After searching for the replica of veggie steak from Veggie Grill at various different grocery stores, thought I would check on here to see if Amazon would happen to sell it and BOOM there it is. After hours debating whether I would buy it or not (due to the cost of it), I've decided to buy this thing. I mean why not, doesn't hurt to give it a try. Now, I'm no vegetarian but I do try to eat healthy. The package came in and the box was smashed but I was like whatever. "Keep refrigerated" caught my attention but as I open the box it was vacuum sealed, which it's still good to eat. I heated up real good and made side dishes to go along with it. After first bite, it wasn't what I expected to be. Texture was hard and it was way too salty for me. I couldn't eat it but I didn't want it to go to waste. I don't know how I managed to finish it but all I know is that I had to chug down tons of water just to flush out all the saltiness. As for the other patty, thank goodness my brother ate it and agreed my opinion on this. I wouldn't buy it again.

This product is very tasty and looks like steak. There are a lot of things you can do with this. A little sauce or gravy and you can hardly tell the difference between this and the real thing. It would make a super good hamburger if you add all the trimmings. It does not come with a cold pack but it evidently doesn't need to.

While transitioning from a meat-eater to a plant only eater, this plant steak was perfect. It has a great taste and is tender.

honestly all their vegan meat taste the same. just cut differently. taste rubbery was super thick
