The ONLY product I've found that works on severe acid rain etching!
I rarely come down off the mountaintop to write a review, the exceptions being when a product is REALLY good or REALLY bad; this is the former. I bought a 2008 Bullitt Mustang last year that was in great condition, excepting the 2 dozen acid rain spots on the aluminum hood. At 68 years old, I've had 38 vehicles, so I've done some scratch removal/polishing in my day. I tried every other product in my arsenal when I first got the car one year ago with no luck - then I spied a box of this product, unopened, at the back of my polishing products shelf. With a LOT of rubbing and a LOT of both products (no sanding), I was able to remove ~18 of the acid rain spots; a 2nd batch of this will be here tomorrow. I think I still have some fingerprints left on the two forefingers of my hands, LOL - looking forward to the hood matching the rest of the vehicle!

It works but.......
I just came back from using this product. What I found out was, the trick is in the wet sandpaper. If you have deep scratches, I can assure you that this product won't work. In fact, even the instruction manual suggests you to buy their "scratch pen" to fill the deeper groove of the scratch. This Quixx works well in removing the "residue paint on your car." That's it. In other words, you can't remove scratches that are "permanent."This is what you get in the box: 1 repair tube, 1 finish tube, 2 rags, 4 narrow 3000 grit sandpaper and the instruction manual.Remember I said the trick is in the wet sandpaper? Well, I basically removed more than half of the "scratches" simply by using sandpaper. They were not scratches at all, but merely paint residue from the other vehicle and wall paint. My suggestion to everyone, especially if you want to remove large amount of scratches, is to buy these products: sandpaper (i.e. 3000 grit), scratch removal compound (they're cheap) and car wax. You would save a lot of money instead of using the Quixx scratch removal. Follow the below procedure.1. clean the scratch area with water or very mild all-purpose cleaner.2. wet the sandpaper and wet the scratch area.3. gently rub the wet sandpaper in a circular motion onto the scratches for NO MORE than 15 seconds (this should remove the residue from the other car paint.4. then, wipe the wet surface of scratch area with a soft towel or rag (be sure it's not abrasive towel).5. apply compound on the scratch and use another dry rag to scrub the scratch surface for 1 to 2 minutes.6. let it dry for one minute before applying one coat of wax. You're done. Add another coat of wax if desired. If you don't remove any scratches, then that just means the scratches are "beyond skin deep."Again, for the price of the Quixx scratch removal, you can add few dollars to buy a whole bottle of compound, 3000 grit sandpaper (which you might already have at home), car wax (which you also might have) and a soft towel.

Quixx Paint Scratch Remover - Very Disappointing!
I purchased Quixx Paint Scratch Remover, after reading a review in Consumer Reports. The article said Quixx Paint Scratch Remover was the best product they had tested out of many others. I am a car buff, I couldn't resist trying out this product. So as a car guy, trust me...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!I followed the instructions step by step, on a very light scratch on black paint. The scratch barely faded and it appeared the sandpaper they provided as part of the process, may have caused more damage around the actual scratch!I tested the product several times on various light scratches on the car, and the results were the same. Barely a change for the better and after the area drys a bit, you can still see the scratch marks in the sun.The 2 tubes they send you for $20 are very small and not worth the money!!This product is awful and I'm not sure I can get my money back as I used most of it trying to remove this micro scratches. It makes me wonder if the company who makes this product posts some of these comments to make it look good? This product was below par with basic brands you can buy in Walgreens...what a rip-off! Don't be fooled...pass on Quixx Paint Scratch Remover or you will regret it!

Works, but not like magic.
I purchase a lot of things from Amazon but usually don't write reviews. I am writing one for this because it is an off-beat item and many of you might be wondering if it works or not. I do not endorse the product nor work for its competitors. I am just an ordinary car owner who wanted this product to get rid of scratches caused by daily wear and tear.Tried it out on my metallic blue 2012 Honda Civic. I had two different sets of scratches to deal with- one set of deep scratches caused by my car brushing against a wall briefly, and other set of light scratches caused by keys rubbing against the clear coat paint. I applied this product on both sets of scratches exactly as per the instructions, and the bad news is- it does not make the scratches disappear completely. However, good news is- it makes the scratches a lot less visible. After spending an hour rubbing the pastes on a series of scratches on the front bumper, there was a distinct visible reduction in scratches, they became difficult to see from a distance, but on close observation you'll see that the scratches are very much there. The light scratches where only the top clear coat was affected showed remarkable improvement, the scratches are almost completely invisible now.Conclusion- It works for the price you pay for it. You can buy it and use it to reduce visible scratches, but don't expect it to work like magic and eliminate all scratches as they show in TV ads.
