I like these a lot and find them easy and effective to use for making dumplings of various sizes. But as others have said, the one annoying problem is that the cutting face is too small. The cutters work very well -- they make clean cuts in the dough. But when you use the cut dough to make a dumpling, the process pulls the dough in toward the center a little and away from the sealing teeth and sometimes not enough dough gets caught by the teeth to make a solid seal. The dough needs to be a bit larger than the sealing area but the cutters make them the exact size of the sealing area. It would be an easy fix for the manufacturer -- and a welcome one.

I’ve used them several times to make empanadas. Worked flawlessly. Others are claiming they break easily, but they remained intact for me.

I had to make 50 empanadas and bought this to help speed it up. It's a great item and it works really well. I wet the dough edges before pressing and got 100 closed empanadas every time.Unfortunately I only gave it 4 stars because it broke on about the 40th empanada. The whole thing broke. Not useable anymore. For the price and the amount of time it saved me I would probably buy it again. Just be aware its plastic and very likely to break with excessive use. A metal one might be worth the additional cost since it would probably take the abuse far better.
