Garden Winds Tiverton (Series 3) Gazebo Replacement Canopy Top Cover - RipLock 500

I've been through a few similar canopies from various sources for my Tiverton Gazebo. I've actually gotten accustomed to buying a new one about once a year. I live in the Chicago suburbs, and we tend to have really stormy Spring and Fall seasons, so it's become pretty common for my gazebo cover to get destroyed by the end of the outdoor seasons. I put this new one up yesterday. First thing I noticed was the fit was better than some of the past covers. Most of the past covers where not very snug and tended to immediately stretch and start collecting pockets of water. This one got its endurance and fit test on day one. Installed it in the morning, left the house for the day, then unexpectedly had a storm with 50+ mph winds late that same afternoon while I was away. With past covers, this type of storm would have inflicted damage to the cover, if not completely destroy it. When I returned home late that evening I went straight out to check the cover thinking I would find ripped corners, pooled water in the sides, and possibly total destruction. Turns out, there was no damage, no pooled water, and it was in perfect shape. I'm hoping to maybe get a few years out of this one!

UPDATED---------- Don't waste your time until they do something about the elastic used to attach the hooks. New one bought didn't even last a few weeks before the elastic started tearing. Looked at my purchase history and we have replaced this canopy from this company 5 times in 3 years! Don't waste your money!---------------------------------------------------------------We purchased this canopy and it lasted us 1 1/2 summers. We live in southern california, so our "summers" may be a bit longer than other areas, but we were still disappointed. Kind of tired of replacing canopies. Buying yet another as I type. The problem with this canopy isn't the material. The material is great. Unlike our previous canopy (the original to the gazebo) the fabric stayed strong and in tact. The original was ripped to shreds by the time we needed to replace it. The problem with this canopy is the elastic that attaches to the hooks that hook the canopy into place! It makes taking it on an off easier, but they aren't durable. EVERY SINGLE elastic piece ripped and became useless. Sure the canopy part still looks great and it it's "Riplock" technology held up. Unfortunately, the same technology and thought that was put into the fabric was not put into the part of the canopy that actually held it on the gazebo and was probably under the most stress. So major design flaw there... Good quality fabric, but don't be fooled into thinking that you will get more use out of it than other canopies until they fix the strength of the fabric that the hooks are attached to.

Used it for my gazebo, but had to buy about $100 in waterproofing it. It’s much better.

I was concerned about the hooks lining up with my frame, which they actually did, for the most part. Overall, I'm pleased with the product.

Could be heavier duty especially for the money !!

the replacement cover fit very well and was easy to install. It seems thicker than the last cover we had. Overall, I'd say it is a good value.

Fabric seems more durable and stronger than the original. Hooks that go into the top frame are attached to elastic strips that also make putting it on easier than the original. The only problem I had was that a few of the hooks were a fraction to big to go into the holes in the frame (since rather than a single wire they were a double wire with a U-shape bend at the end) but this was solved by using pliers to squeeze the end of them to make a tighter crease at the end of the wire). Overall, very satisfied...but the "beige" color is just a bit more on the yellow side of the color scale than I would prefer, though I think that may lighten over time. However, I wold recommend this Canopy over the other less-durable replacements since I think it will last more seasons than the thinner vinyl original.
