Q: is this kettle BPA free?

The new version of this kettle IS BPA free. I know this, because A) It has it written on the plastic viewing window (however this picture doesn't show it). B) I also contacted customer service. They are replacing my older model (purchased in 2012, which wasn't BPA free) with the newer version that is BPA free. Hope this helps! Just make sure the one you receive says BPA free on the clear plastic water-level viewing window when you receive it! If not, the ones at Bloomingdales, Breville.com and Williams Sonoma do!

Q: How is it different from the Cuisinart® PerfecTemp® Stainless Steel Electric Kettle if any, aside from the size?

It is much quieter than the Cuisinart. I had a Cuisinart Perfect Temp electric kettle for years. It was quiet and like the name, it was perfect! When the time came that I needed to replace it, I bought another one but it was incredibly loud. So I took it back and got a third which was also unbearably loud. I bought a cheap Mr. Coffee adjustable temp kettle and returned it - same reason. I JUST bought this here and it's quiet! I'm loving not having to turn up the TV when I make my cup of tea!

My kettle is no more than 3 yrs old. It was a gift. I started having the same issues as mentioned about 4 months ago. I also love the kettle very much and was wondering if there is a fix for the problem.
