It is about wanting to feel something after being numb for so long.Let me talk about Kaleb for a second. I thought I would just be physically drawn to him. He is rugged, silent, and mysterious, which already checks a lot of boxes. But I ended up falling so much harder than I expected. He does not speak, but everything he does says more than words ever could. His emotional breakdown and that one sign language moment nearly broke me. The depth, the quiet desperation, the way he loved without needing to say it, it was devastating in the best way.Noah also surprised me. He was the most emotionally grounded and kind. Noah is the charming golden boy. And Kaleb… oh Kaleb. Silent, intense, and full of surprises. The character development (especially Kaleb's!) was my favorite part. And watching Tiernan come into her own—learning to want, choose, and fight for herself—was surprisingly empowering.It wasn’t always comfortable, but it was deeply entertaining and emotionally gripping. I knocked off one star only because some scenes were over-the-top even for the genre, but honestly? The book wasn’t up to hype . Sorry but Personally the age gap doesn’t bother me nor does the cousin thing (they are step who cares) But when men are taking advantage of a depressed , lonely in her soul girl now that pulls my strings . The book deff keeps you reading just personally didn’t like the manipulation being worded to be kind . Like tie me up and worship me all day but don’t act like a man child and destroy my stuff if you don’t get your way bc i can’t read your mind ugh I wanted to hit these characters and hug and shake since into the main girl !
