My cat I don't think was that bothered about the smell of this product, it is a strong citrus scent so really nice, not so for cats though if you are trying to deter them from ruining furniture, use some of this spray. It unfortunately didn't really work for my cat as she wasn't put off by the smell.

I recently purchased this Cat Anti-Scratch Spray with the expectation that it would effectively deter my cat from scratching furniture. Unfortunately, the product did not deliver the promised results. Despite following the instructions meticulously and applying the spray consistently, I observed no change in my cat’s behaviour. It seemed to have no deterrent effect whatsoever.As a result, I now have a carpet full of scratches, which is both frustrating and disappointing. This raises concerns about the product’s formulation and its compatibility with its intended purpose. It is disheartening to invest in a product that claims to address a common pet behaviour issue but fails to produce any noticeable outcome.I would advise potential buyers to reconsider, as this product may not be effective for all cats. I hope this feedback encourages the manufacturer to review and improve the product’s efficacy to meet customer expectations better.

Unfortunately i do not like this product. First it came with a non adjustable spray so the first sprayed without realising this, one of our light grey sofas was left with a mark. So I swapped with another head I had. It was much better however for the product to be really effective it has to be sprayed with the cats around which I do not like doing. Once it’s dried it doesn’t really smell of anything and the cats still scratch. The bottle is nearly empty now and I wouldn’t buy it again.

Have only used twice but seems to help. The cat is not scratching as much. Will persevere with the spray.

Oh how I wished this had worked.The short version - No, didn’t work at all.The long version -My new chesterfield sofas were delivered yesterday after many years debating whether I should risk forking out £££ on much needed new seating. I share my house with 5 cats and 4 dogs. My previous suite looked more like a pin cushion than a sofa (I’ve never ever caught a cat clawing it though) so obviously I was dubious about buying anything new but unfortunately I could find no cheap second hand sofas that I wouldn’t feel so precious about, that fitted my awkward room dimensions, so new bespoke it had to be.... as soon as they were in place, I sprayed them with this item ( I had researched anti scratch sprays and though this sounded the best) then Sprayed again just before I went to bed. The scent was quite pleasant to me and not overwhelming. On leather, the spray seems to just sit wet for a while and left slippery spray droplets on my wooden floor when I sprayed the bottom part of my sofas, this could obviously be avoided if you put a towel down before you spray. The spray left no unsightly residue.After coating my sofas, I trotted up to bed (much later then usual as I had been staying up to see if any of my feline brats had shown interest in my shiny new additions - they did not)I woke up super early after a restless night with sofa/cat nightmares and tentatively made my way to my living room - all seemed well until I turned the light on.... can honestly say I shocked myself with the colourful language that escaped my lips!! With sunken heart I ran my hand along all the puckered claw marks and wept... after a few indulgent self pitying minutes, I pulled myself together and realised that in the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter, they are only sofas and if that’s all I’ve got to get upset about then I’m a very very lucky girl!Maybe this item will work for you, after all, I have 5 cats and it may have deterred 4 of them, it only takes one determined kamikaze puss to wreak havoc!
